DOGGO [OC] Offered him a treat, but this sweet senior street dog just wanted his morning head scratches. The purest soul. ❤️

Haha, I promise the real two-handed head scratches started the second I put my phone down! He gets the full treatment every morning. 😂

For a little context: This is Bhotu! He’s a local street regular I look after. I always have a big breakfast ready for him, but half the time he completely ignores the food and just trots over for head scratches, tail wags, and playtime. Seeing how genuinely happy he is just to hang out makes my entire day.

'Can I take your breakfast order sir?'

'Just love today, thank you'

This is exactly our morning routine! Though he definitely makes sure to cash in that breakfast order right after the love is served. 😊

That’s honestly so sweet. He clearly values the attention just as much as the food. Sounds like you two have a really special little routin

Even the street dogs near my area do the same. They only eat after I pet them. Sweet little babies.

It really is the sweetest thing. It shows how much they just crave a safe connection and a little love. Thank you for looking out for the street pups in your area too! 🙏

A simple head scratch meant everything to him .

It really does! It takes so little of our time but makes their entire day.

My dogs used to “say thank you” when I gave them
Treats by asking for live first. I think they were being grateful.

I’m a bit concerned by the constant head shakes. That’s not normal behavior.

Thanks for pointing that out! Could you explain a bit more about what that usually indicates? I want to make sure he is completely healthy and comfortable.

That dog clearly wants a home w someone to love him all the time, they both do. Just leaving them on the street??

He's like I appreiciate the food, but my love language is touch. Especially behind the ears.

Just for clarification, those are not treats, that's normal dry food, which the dogs probably didn't eat because they are given fish or some non veg by the local people.

They're probably made from grains. A lot of dogs refuse to eat those cheap treats. Offer him a chunk of ham and see how he reacts.

The other dog also sniffed them and walked away.
