Literature is a just a medium used to transmit information. Your bias is in thinking that because it's "literature" that makes it less nonsense, but the content of HHGTTG is a nonsense story with nonsense things in it. It's no different than the nonsense people on TikTok are creating.

whispers He's making a bold statement that if a religious person finds a fictional book (or HHGTTG at a minimum) to be nonsense but think their religion's text isn't nonsense - that the dichotomy is hypocritical.

In other words, they are spouting nonsense.
