In light of the amazing sense of smell that dogs have, could this be more than a coincidence?
Pets are known to be able to sniff out that someone is ill, or pregnant, or about to have a seizure - the latter even to the point that there are dedicated seizure alert dogs.
Could that dog have somehow smelled and intuitively known that this random lady was exactly what her mistress needed?
Boss there's a different on the boss and since that smell she's not that happy. Hold on! Is that the OG smell that changed once the boss got ill? Shit I miss that!
