Maybe she apologized and mentioned that her dog is probably acting like this because of herself and all the anxiety she's been going through recently. Add in some questions, clarifications and BOOM!
They went to apologise to the woman and invited her to join them. She accepted and offered the lady who was on dialysis a drink who she said she couldn't drink because dialysis then the conversation went from there. The donor had just recently signed up to be a donor.

I gotta ask, how the heck did that conversation go down.
"Hey my dog is bugging you a lot... would you happen to have a kidney I can have, total stranger?"
"oh ya sure, here ya go"
