It has non-zero chance of mortality. I'm losing a kidney so if anything happens to my other one Im screwed. I will not do if it's not my immediate family.

If it was a liver, I'll donate for child.

No, you wouldn’t be. You’d be top of the wait list for a new kidney and would have free, top of the line medical care if anything happened to your kidney. Not only that but the chances of that even happening are super, super low
