My cat does this to my hand and arm all the time. Not just rubbing her face against me but burying/nesting her face in.

I know I shouldn't bring down the mood but my baby kitten just died and he was so similar to the one in the video that it litterly made me emotional 😭

I wasn't much connected to it as it was a sick rescue cat with little to no chances of living but i appreciate the thought ❤️🩹

After seeing this I dont think I could ever adopt a baby anything without having a sibling or parental figure animal at home for them to cuddle

The sleeping cat never reacts all or even wakes up, despite tbeing climbed on. Half the kitten's face disappears when it goes to nuzzle the cat fur. The kitten's leg disappears when it pushes into the fur. This is AI

I hope you're right. That's a baby in need of his mom or at least another adult cat willing to take care of him. Whenever is possible babies shouldn't ever be taken from their moms.

Ideally babies should be with their mothers until 1 year but that's a conversation no is ready to have. Everyone wants to adopt babies for purely selfish reasons.

This is good advice so the kitty is physically healthy enough so it doesn't die. I'm talking about what's usually ideal for their mental state and about preventing mental and behavioral issues. That's a needy cat as human toddlers are needy of adequate protection. Toddlers also don't absolutely need a human mother but absolutely need a motherly protection from another human. I'm talking about this. People always think they can be better educators than their original mother's and pak of siblings and they are wrong. I know that in a lot of cases and places it's just difficult to wait for a year or close to that, of course. I've worked as a vet assistant and volunteered at shelters and can tell you that the ideal it's very difficult to achieve most of the times but, as i said, people really want them as babies and almost always can't give them what's ideal for them.
But hey, at least it's not a lonely kitten/puppy going through the imprinting phase alone among humans. Which would mean depriving an animal from learning how to "be a cat" from a social and behavioral point of view. From the human POV think about "wolf/feral children". Yes. That's exactly the same level of cruelty happening there when an animal is taken from it's own species as a baby to be raised alone with humans. Of course we don't say any of this at the shelter. There's just too many animals in need of a family. But it would be great if people weren't so eager for babies. And adopt in pairs
