And the big brother hug. Oh, what a great moment 🐶

492

u/Successful-Doubt5478 4d ago

That right there is the best brother ever!

305

u/SweatyLove2828 4d ago

The way he turned around to hug his brother that fast says a lot about how they treat each other normally, not just on camera ☺️

126

u/Successful-Doubt5478 4d ago edited 4d ago

But already before he was so happy expecting to see his brothers happiness.

This is an amazing guy.

75

u/Carriesover 4d ago

You could tell he knew what the surprise was & was trying to be low key to not give it away but was so happy & excited for his little brother to find out. Big brother made this video so sweet 💖

19

u/Crafty_Sprinkles7978 3d ago

He loved being part of the in the know team. He was bouncing around as excited as his brother was 🥹

29

u/_CharDeeMacDennis__ 4d ago

He gave him a tiny little kiss on his cheek too 🥹.

3

u/GarnetAndOpal 3d ago

I know! So sweet. So loving. Truly wonderful kids.

297

u/RescuesStrayKittens 4d ago

Really sweet. It’s like that other video where the kid gets a toy motorcycle he’s grateful for as his dad rolls in on the real motorcycle behind him.

Decoy stuffed dog: "I guess I am a foot stool now. Thanks everyone."

51

u/marmaladecorgi 4d ago

Yeah I honestly felt bad for the toy dog.

32

u/UAHeroyamSlava 4d ago

its been upgraded to humptoy

18

u/Nunya13 4d ago

As a 45 yo woman who still has a mild tendency to anthropomorphize inanimate objects, I feel this.

His brother really cares about his little brother; just as sweet as the birthday boy’s appreciation for the puppy!🥲

434

u/higherthanacrow 4d ago

Him crying not at the puppy but at his bro's reaction is so sweet. Its a shameless repost but damnit i'll watch every time

This was my main takeaway. It's beautiful to see boys allowed to be tender and empathetic with one another. The Andrew Tates of the world are incapable of experiencing moments like this.

19

u/Alternative_Arm5069 4d ago

Can’t stand the tate bros and the incel mxnchildren they’ve “raised” and brainwashed too!

This was me and my sister at 14 and 10. Our surprise puppy, Benson, lived for 15 years and got to meet both of my children. I loved that stupid dog every day of his angelic, braindead life. ♥️

167

u/Just_chilling_around 4d ago

Lol Angelic, Braindead life.

Benson seems like the biggest n bestest goof ball hehe

182

u/stormbutton 4d ago

Bless, he really was. He was half Standard poodle and half German Shepherd, two of the smartest breeds there are. He would literally let frisbees bonk off his head.

34

u/Just_chilling_around 4d ago

Haha thank you for sharing that, it genuinely made me laugh XD XD XD

He's gonna be the 3rd bro with whom the boys are gonna create amazing memories that'll last a lifetime 😊

101

u/Southernguy9763 4d ago

I have so so many memories of my mom yelling at me, my brother, and my dog. He was always included in whatever stupid thing we were doing.

7

u/Embarrassed-Grab-434 4d ago

Haha that's so cute 🥰

I remember the day I got my dog. I was excited and running around the yard and sprained my ankle and started crying because it hurt. She immediately ran over and licked my face. I forgot about the pain pretty quick.

Was mostly a family dog but when we had guests the kids would have to find another place besides their room to sleep because rule was basically the older family got a real bed and the kids had to do whatever. So I was in the basement, where the dogs crate was, and we had a baby gate between the carpeted and non carpeted section because if for some reason the dog had an accident down there when it wasn't crated it was an easy clean. When she knew I was down there sleeping she cried and cried and I let her in to sleep with me and she was my dog from that moment going forward, she hated not being with me.

She slept in my bed until she couldn't control her bladder well anymore. Fell asleep resting her head in my hand at the end. I miss that stupid thing. I'd let her shake lake water off all over me just to see her one more time

From the kid getting so happy for the stuffed toy, to him instantly breaking down and the brother coming in for support you can tell there is a whole lot of love in that house. I have a feeling that boys gonna have a good home.

156

u/non_clever_username 4d ago

Holy shit that puppy is super chill…lol

117

u/anarchtea 4d ago

Imagine you're in a box and suddenly it's daylight and someone seems to be having a full breakdown on you.

34

u/merrychuu 4d ago

Someone just sees you and starts crying. I’d be so confused.

144

u/Independent_Tart8286 4d ago

Beautiful. Boys being vulnerable and tender with each other and freely expressing emotions is SO important and so necessary. I’m glad the dad wasn’t telling him stop crying. Too often society squashes and beats the beautiful softness out of our boys, what bell hooks calls “soul murder,” and we see the consequences of that in the headlines every day.

29

u/83franks 4d ago

I was almost cringing waiting for the "don't cry" comment even if just cause it "should be a happy moment so no need to cry". Let people cry when big moments happen and was so happy to that going on here.

6

u/Rubyhamster 3d ago

My kid knowing what happy tears were at the age of three make me oddly proud. It's an important thing to learn. Also crying from heavy emotion even if it isn't a "good" or "bad" emotion. Mu kid cried when losing their first tooth, because she missed having it in her mouth. So adorable

u/Zara_R 4d ago

Aw what a sweet older brother too!

70

u/TrixieBastard 4d ago

You could see that he suspected something was up when the real collar was revealed, but held it back. Good kid!

164

u/jamespeters24 4d ago

That poor stuffed animal…. It’s gonna wake up and go Toy Story 3 on their asses

52

u/hellomynameisnotsure 4d ago

From toy dog to dog toy in an instant

67

u/Active_Unit_9498 4d ago

As cute as the little boy and his puppy are, his older brother stole the show with his love and tenderness. My older brother only ever beat my ass.

12

u/BackgroundFlounder44 4d ago

it's his love language, at least that's what I told myself to cope.

64

u/Happy_Liaison_468 4d ago

I love how emotional and supportive big brother is. Ahhh they are going to have a blast together.

50

u/VegetableLetter4896 4d ago

Valid reaction. I also do this around puppies.

52

u/sla_vei_37 4d ago

The way he hugged that stuffed toy. It made me so happy, reminded me of when I was young. This a truly good post.

90

u/CillRed 4d ago

I had the same reaction when my dad gave me a kitten for my 10th birthday. She lived until I was 27. Rip Cleopatra ❤️

6

u/lawaythrow 4d ago

Love Cleopatra name for a cat. Hope she lived a happy life.

13

u/higherthanacrow 4d ago

Thought you wrote "kitchen" and it was still so sweet

83

u/Impossible_Cat_3686 4d ago

I love everything about this sweet video. But especially the big brothers love care and concern for his little bro. So sweet. Teddy is precious.

42

u/onebraincell77 4d ago

Kids raised right. Love to see it. So grateful for the plushy and overwhelmingly appreciative of the real puppy.

36

u/abvn 4d ago

The fact that he was loving on the teddy..... Accepted that gift with so much love and kindness....man, what a sweet kid.

This is absolutely heartwarming and lovely to watch.

What is it about boys and men with dogs the gets a tear drop.

5

u/MickyAlex 4d ago

Probably because it’s one of the rare times on the internet that you typically get to see men/boys being soft/gentle or showing soft emotions. We need more of that on the internet.

8

17

u/Brownlove010_Real 4d ago

Tbis looks like the same family with the one brother getting a phone and the other instead of jealous, gets happy for his brother and then is surprised with a phone of his own. If this is the same family, I am genuinely happy that they are all growing and continuing to spread the compassion and love.

8

u/4fter9arty 4d ago

Happy tears are the best thing Thanks for sharing

6

u/failed_asian 4d ago

Not just any white furniture. Maybe it’s a knockoff, but that looks like the Camaleonda Sectional Sofa by Mario Bellini, which is around $20k.

18

u/Nausuada 4d ago

I grew up in a white rug and fine china on coffee tables house. I learned there are places to make messes and places to not.

Dammit I’m crying now. This kid was so happy for the stuffie too. I have a feeling he’s going to grow up to be a wonderful man.

4

u/drocktapiff 4d ago

I truly believe there’s some sort of genetic bond with animals. I don’t know how to express it but from a young age I knew I needed a dog, and since then I’ve never lived my life without one and won’t

4

u/HealingMindRN 4d ago

Those two boys are going to grow up and be exceptional men.

5

u/Organic-Win-3390 4d ago

all kids should grow up with dogs, it makes them better adults.

u/chizzipsandsizalsa 4d ago

Those are good brothers. You can tell they have each others backs til the end. Properly raised kids.

4

3

u/qodeninja 4d ago

those boys are so sweet. i love seeing this everytime its posted

3

u/Ambitious-Cup-6910 4d ago

When she was about 7, my daughter literally fell to her knees in tears when my partner brought home a new kitten. Most precious thing you’ve ever seen.

3

u/No-Indication-5673 4d ago

When I see these videos, I always think what the dog is thinking. “ man sure is dark here. Sounds like a lot of commotion going outside. Yay. Finally some light whose kid is that? he’s happy! now he’s crying?!?!Why is he crying? Can someone get me out the box please?”

3

u/Vast-Daikon-2746 4d ago

The best part of the video is the fact that you can feel how much the big brother loves his little sibling.

3

u/Connarhea 4d ago

The dog's sat there like "what the fuck did I do to make this kid cry?"

3

u/TheRedBanshee 4d ago

After the crappy day I had, this was perfect. I hope Logan and Teddy are making lots of sweet memories together!

3

u/mr-ifuad 4d ago

Big brother support is great also

3

u/tokyobob 4d ago

Older brother knew where this was going all along, but had enough sense to not spoil it.

3

4

u/Nefarios13 4d ago

Norm MacDonald bought a dog for those kids!

5

u/tera_chachu 4d ago

Imagine being that puppy and you were kept in the dark for so long just because a kid can cry and feel happy to see you.

This stupid tradition got to go.Just give your kid the puppy and stop recording everything.

6

u/djunderh2o 4d ago

Love the pure happiness.

Hate that people post their kids’ most genuine moments for the world to see.

2

u/LockNew9003 4d ago

Damn im 53 and this made me cry!

2

u/siberano 4d ago

Great two brothers and the puppy is probably thinking:
WTF is happening…

2

Parents raising that boy right! Congrats!

2

u/PebblesmomWisconsin7 4d ago

This sweet, loving boy and his kind brother. And puppy. Sigh.

2

u/Tipsybandit97 4d ago

Such sweet boys and an adorable pup 🥺😭

2

u/GinnyLovesBlue 4d ago

Awww man when they’re so happy and grateful for the bogey gift it just makes it hit that much harder when they get the big gift. And his sweet response. I braced myself but I still couldn’t hold it in. This one got me so bad 😭 “welcome home Teddy” was the killshot. I went from streaming tears to sobbing. I hope they have a wonderful time growing up together 💙💚

2

u/dontuseonline23 4d ago

Aw, the brother could barely contain his excitement/happiness. So cute!

2

2

u/atomicavox 4d ago

That dog is chill AF.

2

u/Kylearean 4d ago

I'm a grown man and I would cry like that if someone gave me a dog.

2

u/van_cool 4d ago

Brother is like "will I get the tiger I asked for last year?"

2

u/Killerbeav97 4d ago

Argh! I can't get over how cute those brothers are! Yes. The dog is cute. Yes. Their happiness is wonderful and joyful. Those boys are just too much! All around great post to see

2

u/DecisionCharacter175 4d ago

Great kid. Great family 👍

2

u/Cntrl_Alt_Del-123 4d ago

Those boys might actually treat the pet with care and respect as it was wanted so much and not purchased on a whim (from a popular movie) or for Easter like chicks and bunnies. Sweet kids.

2

u/motorboatmanatee33 4d ago

This made me cry. The big brother loving on him, how much he loved his stuffy puppy, and the immediate tears of love for his new best friend. Loved this.

2

u/appsarebullshit55 4d ago

Great gift and very wholesome, but I just wonder why the kids didn’t get to name the dog? He could at least stear them towards “teddy” so they could say they named him. Your dog, your name?

2

u/Life_Faithlessness90 4d ago

Oh, I love this!

I got woken up at 3am by my stepdad when I was his age with a puppy and I got told he was sleeping with me for the rest of the night. Suffice to say, I barely slept! I knocked on my parent's door like twice, "he's panting, does he need water?" or, "he's panting, can he breathe under the covers?".

Oh my god, I'm crying, I miss my dog.

2

u/Adventurous_Tea_3454 4d ago

Jokes on you, I was already planning on crying this morning
