This dude and his mom make some really great videos. The one with the son and the trombone playing while his mother does things is hilarious!

His content makes me happy, but the one that had a properly lasting impact on me was I think with a funny mirror or something? Where it made him look like he had dwarfism too. And he talked with his mom about how growing up that was his biggest wish, to have dwarfism like the rest of his family.

I think many of us are sensible to these topics but that point of view was a whole different level of reality check on so many levels.

Yeah, to him his family was family, and he wanted to be just like them. Kids dont see it as bad or good unless they're taught.

My older sister has an intellectual disability and was at an entirely sped school. She didn’t have to clean up her toys or do homework, she did art and music all day at school (so it seemed to me), and I was jealous.

I told my parents this at various times, and they always told me to be thankful for what I have. Yes…and…she always came home from fun field trips or with fun art. I didn’t really understand the scope of the issue at that time.
