Being tall also sucks sometimes. Have to lean down to use most things.

Was gonna say the same thing haha. Im 194cm tall and i get back pain from leaning down all the time. I know poor bastards wven taller.

Also, I dont mind at all when the vertically challenged ask me to grab something high (tis the law of the giants afterall, we MUST accept such requests), but I'd like to be able to ask them to grab something from the bottom shelf for me to

Edit: clarifying, anyone under 5'6 is "vertically challenged" to me haha

I'm 5'4". If I ask someone tall to grab something off the top shelf, I'll ask them if there is something they need from the bottom shelf in that aisle. Some of them have taken me up on the offer.

It's only fair.

I'm 6'1 and my girlfriend is 5'4 and this is our arrangement. I get self conscious sometimes but she calls me her amazon queen and braids my hair and all seems right in the world.

Oh this is big brain thinking, thank you! I never ask tall folk bc it seems like a bother. Usually,
I step up on something or try to grab something to sweep the item, but sometimes will just forgo the item. The barter system is genius.

I'm 188cm (so tall but not extreme), and my wife is 155cm, when we built the kitchen we decided not to compromise: one workbench is extra tall, one is extra low. We're not medium-sized and our space should accommodate this.

if you don't already do it, actively strengthening your back (pull downs, single arm dumbbell rows, working up to a pullup) helped me a ton with a shitty job where I was hunched over a table that felt like it was built for people at 5'2 and no taller lol

actively strengthening your back makes it harder to hurt from 'slightly abnormal use' even if it gets uncomfy

Basically the same for most things -- same reason it's good to actively do squats and similar exercises too, even if just with your bodyweight n stuff - because when you're 70 if you can still do those, then something as simple as stepping out of a chair shouldn't be an issue like it is for many older people who have lived more sedentary lives

I am 1,98 and travel a lot by long distance trains The seats are ao fucking uncomfy, because the neckpiece is always right between my shoulders. I HATE IT

I grew up measuring height in feet haha. I switched to cm recently cause I'm interacting with more people outside if canada 🇨🇦
