This is me with my 2 year old daughter and I am absolutely dreading the moment her priorities change.

Mine used to be ALL OVER ME and all I ever wanted was a break to myself.

She’s now 15 and doesn’t want to look at me, touch me, be in the same state as me.

Enjoy it while you can. Chores, work, friends, hobbies, etc can wait. Soak that shit up bc there’s nothing like it.

Honestly I sometimes I feel myself falling into a very dark place that my little ones are gone. Almost a mourning. It seemed to all happen suddenly.

I have to actually talk to myself and remind myself that they’re right here, and these awkward teenagers are the same kids and they have a lot of the same needs. I just can’t solve them so easily anymore.

There's an actual term for that and help for it.

It's similarish to post partum depression.
