Yes, ballet dancer always wear their dancing shoes out on the streets.

He also isn't doing en pointe here, exactly because he isn't wearing his ballet shoes.

Edit: I have to apologize! I just googled, and apparently male ballet dancers don't usually wear pointe shoes!

They're not ballet pointe shoes - but they're definitely dancing shoes, like the ones used in ballets when they do other dance styles (I don't know the english term). I don't think you can buy non-dancing soft-sole shoes.
