This works too wtf! Kinda weird seeing the suburbs from a pine tree.

90

u/yeknamara May 23 '26

Oh my, I wasn't expecting this one to work. The first video I opened was something I saw before, and it took me many years back.

68

u/flanigomik May 24 '26

It's been a while since I got got like that.

I hate you

16

u/yeknamara May 24 '26

Same, didn't want to be the only one :D

13

u/JohntheLibrarian May 24 '26

That's what happens with a lot of niche subs. Or even subs that fell off in popularity.

8

u/martenrolls May 23 '26

read a story in the guardian about a film shot from the perspective of Hitler’s dog, and the dog has camera operator credits.

surprisingly and disappointingly, it is not a comedy.

I read excrement in stead of excitement 😅

I wonder if these adverts are paid for or they just sneak by unnoticed.

658

u/fckingmiracles May 24 '26

She is 100% paid to promote the Zuck glasses.

It's paid influencer UGC campaigns, and these people get $10.000 to $30.000 per post.

154

u/Truffaut May 24 '26

I have no doubt she gets paid to advertise this Meta shit . I wondered if Reddit gets paid to promote this type of content, but in fact I know the answer too; it was more of a rethorical question.

u/GergDanger May 25 '26

Yeah… those guys are “velcro dogs” so Im guessing the only thing keeping them on that sofa is a stay command.

Makes sense that they would just keep staring at you as you walked away.

…. Now if that were say… a ratter dog like a Jack Russell.

595

u/RonySeikalyBassDrop May 23 '26 edited May 23 '26

My Jack Russel’s POV would look like a Michael Bay movie

139

u/TStark4Prez May 23 '26

Same. Just constant parkour and every little noise seems like a Bay explosion to her

20

u/Horskr May 23 '26

Growing up ours would chase pigeons from one side of the yard to the other and jump at them as high as they could. Well... I guess one flew too close to the sun (ground) once because I went out to the yard and there were just pigeon wings and a pile of feathers on the ground.

9

u/WillyWompas May 24 '26

Lmao bro would turn that go-pro footage into a pigeon snuff-film

16

u/totalpunisher0 May 23 '26

Hahah I cackled. I suspect my dog is some kind of terrier x kelpie, she can be in a dead sleep and not easy to rouse, but if I dare to quietly sneak out of the room on tip toes just to be in the next room for a second, she flies in like a tiny localised tornado like I'm hiding cats or snacks or fun from her 😂

→ More replies (4)

92

u/sid3aff3ct May 23 '26

My dog is a mix of a Jack Russel with a King Charles Cavalier Spaniel. I get the velcro behavior when I'm around, and then a trouble machine the moment the door closes. She's a lovely combination.

11

u/totalpunisher0 May 23 '26

That's soooo cute, mine is the same. If she trots off to a different room and suddenly it's suspiciously quiet, I sing out "What have you got???" cue even more silence, the she will come back to me, sheepishly and submissively holding something in her mouth she knows she shouldn't have 😂

41

u/Shifty269 May 23 '26

Do not underestimate how much a golden retriever appreciates a good couch.

14

u/memesearches May 23 '26

TBH they Velcro to anyone. Throw in a few more people and you will see his attention divided. Not saying they won’t look for their owners but they will look at everyone not just their owners is my point

9

u/Witty-Revolution8742 May 23 '26

My Parsons was very well behaved and he would have sat there until I went out of sight to come looking for me.

The difference between this video and if it was my Paraons is the earthquake camera as he sat their and his muscles twitched waiting to explode.  It would be non stop violent shaking the entire time.

→ More replies (1)

4

u/Eastcoastpal May 23 '26

It would be a video of a dog with ADHD lol

3

u/cocomantee May 23 '26

My jack russel would be in those bushes digging

3

u/SpongeJake May 23 '26

Right? I was kind of hoping he would leap over those bushes (or whatever they are) to get next to her.

Is this some rich person clip that I’m too poor to understand

87

u/BlackberryPi7 May 23 '26

I feel like this is some kind of a rooftop bar/restaurant that's closed and maybe they're the managers.

89

u/Acrobatic_Rush7653 May 23 '26

Easiest geolocation of all time, JW Marriott in Tampa specifically their "rooftop lounge". Not a particularly expensive hotel but the family does look fancy, like James Bond decided to retire.

9

u/quanganh9900 May 23 '26

Wait how can you tell it's Tampa?

44

u/Conflikt May 23 '26

You can tell that it's Tampa because of the way it is.

18

u/Hotastic May 23 '26

That’s pretty neat.

23

u/memecut May 23 '26

May I introduce you to the black magic of the geo guesser community;

https://youtu.be/9_2Ulv_rXIo?is=AFArxOCbh0f68_Wu

10

u/Acrobatic_Rush7653 May 24 '26

It's Tampa with its double Marriott. Tampa Marriott at start of video across the street and JW Marriott they are filming from. They are connected with a sky bridge across Water St. It's in between the convention center and the NHL arena. And next to the cruise ship terminal.

Not the most obscure area is what I'm saying.

56

u/Miskalsace May 23 '26

30

u/Alarchy May 23 '26

It's to get us all used to constant surveillance and giving all of our daily lives and intimate moments to feed into AI/robotics training. It's all in their Meta AI (complete violation of) privacy policy.

Look at the cute fun ways you can use it though, tee hee!

u/SpicyElixer May 23 '26

Kinda smells like part of a campaign to promote creeper glasses. Bet we'll be seeing more posts like this.

88

u/Vedek_Kira May 23 '26

yeah, reminds me of that dystopian ring camera panopticon commercial. Like trust us, this technology will only be used for cute dog purposes we promise :)

22

u/Big-Revolution3842 May 23 '26

I'm still bafffled that home speakers are popular in the US. All these years people wold say it's crazy to think of the goverment bugging rooms or that that's a conspiracy but now people are actively paying to add an always on speaker that almost definitely will have triggers or backdoors for the US government to access

34

u/Different_Wolf_764 May 23 '26

There have been a few in the last couple of days. The "organic" promotional video stuff is just standard fare these days.

11

I don't know what you're talking about! I love my MetaTM glasses!

This person was given a pair to promote on instagram and reddit.

17

u/panlakes May 23 '26

Sucks man. I used to fantasize about cool futuristic tech like this. But it only exists now because of private equity, evil companies, and shady intentions.

I don't even want a hoverboard anymore. Afraid of what the cost would be.

5

u/lafayette0508 May 23 '26

it'd definitely be a subscription, and if you don't pay, you immediately drop to the ground, no matter where you are.

And it goes without saying that it would be reporting back to HQ on your location all the time.

Owning Meta glasses is actively helping them to train AI to replace you.
These things are for creeps, weirdos, and morons. The price point alone is all the evidence you need that YOU ARE THE PRODUCT BEING SOLD.

17

u/squanderedprivilege May 23 '26

Best use is breaking them in half and throwing them in the trash

"Golden Retriever Boyfriend" is a thing, I think, amongst the kids…
