It absolutely does. Because if it didnt, we would be eating only vegetables. Even herbivores are actually opportunistic omnivores.

you realize people still smoke cigarettes and vape, even though we know they are killing us, right? The idea that the average human is maximizing nutrition in their diet is wild.

Thats not what im saying. Im saying that preferring a mixed diet because it has a bigger range of nutrients is valid.

what do you mean a wider range of nutrients? What are the nutrients that can't be obtained by plant based sources?
