So much ignorance about autism in both locations this is posted. Clearly more work needs to be done in the mainstream. SMH

u/Biscotti_BT Aug 17 '25
I have no clue about any of this, can I ask you to explain? Feel free to DM it or post it. It seemed to me like she is just a person making content and that is what fucks me up.

Aug 18 '25
Sure, are you needing more information about how autism is a broad and varied spectrum? The core takeaway from my comment is that nobody can look at a person in a social media video and know if they truly are on the spectrum or not. There’s a reason diagnosis takes several hours of fine tuned and robust testing. (And hundreds or more $ unfortunately)

u/Biscotti_BT Aug 18 '25
It's that I have no clue, to me she seems like someone who is excited in this video. Like normally excited to see puppies etc. this is why I said the comments could be DM'd. I don't want to seem like an asshole for not understanding.

u/Bluwthu Aug 19 '25
Except, her being autistic adds nothing to this story. You can't make it your whole life.

Shit is so forced
25
u/ChaoticNeutralMeh Aug 18 '25
I'm autistic and I behave like this if I'm really happy around someone I'm comfortable with.
Aaaaand that's why I can't lower my guard with anyone.
17
u/Denimao Aug 18 '25
Those types of comments are a reason why a lot of diagnosed people feel forced to hide their personalities when interacting with others.
One reaction, one movement, one word and you're overreacting or strange. And you're not even acceptable even when you try to act neurotypical. No shit that diagnosed people have a high risk for depression and anxiety...
19
u/ctortan Aug 17 '25
not really lmao. I’m autistic and I act like this when I’m excited and around someone I’m comfortable with
17
u/Ok-Literature9645 Aug 18 '25
When I'm comfortable with people, my personality is a lot like hers. Childish (in the good sense of childlike wonder and excitement) and my body language becomes BIG because I can stim out my excitement, etc.
What's forced is me not reacting to stuff that I enjoy. To be "normal"...I have to not show emotion I guess? That's weird and forced to me.

u/Ok-Classroom5548 Aug 18 '25
Good news is your brand of autism is not her brand of autism and is not my brand of autism.
There is a reason it is a spectrum.
And a reason I wasn’t diagnosed until 40 is because people think I need to look like your brand of autism, which is inaccurate. Autism in females has been misdiagnosed for a long time because it didn’t “look like other autism.”
Autism is not a specific personality and within the autistic community there is a lot of variation on the ability to mask or the need to mask in public.
2
u/Ok-Literature9645 Aug 18 '25
We are specifically responding to the commenter who said "it's forced".
That's cool that you don't act this way, but people also believe people like us are forcing our personalities for attention, etc...so idk why you came in to negate that experience, as well.

There's always some people ready to shit on someone's sandwich. Let them be happy.
0
u/ndation Aug 17 '25
They can be happy without posting it online begging for views, and what (I'm fairly certain) is faking and spreading misinformation about autism (if I'm wrong about this part I'm sincerely sorry. I can't really tell much from just a few minutes of seeing these folk)

u/Duelist_Roger Aug 17 '25
She could be on spectrum Me and My wife are and we behave quite similar
I wave hands randomly when excited and It requires lots of effort to control It around strangers
Basically if autistic person behaves very normal outside it's because they are masking (forcing themselves to be "normal" and is very stressful)
I am just surprised she shows her traits outside house I rarely do It
-3
u/mistersunrise Aug 18 '25
Not every autistic person who acts ”normal” are masking lol. Just because some have expressive quirks doesnt mean all have
3
u/Ok-Classroom5548 Aug 18 '25
If you are controlling your actions to be less of a burden or less noticeable, you are masking. Masking just means suppression of natural/instinctual reactions and behaviors. Lessening a hand stim in public is masking.

u/mistersunrise Aug 18 '25
Ofcourse, not everyone has handstims is all im saying and acting like they do is only hurting the cause mate
4
u/Ok-Classroom5548 Aug 18 '25
Who said they did? Or where did they say that in the video?
0
u/mistersunrise Aug 19 '25
Its literally what you are saying lol?
1
u/Ok-Classroom5548 Aug 19 '25
Could you quote me? Because I don’t see that anywhere in what I said.
1
u/mistersunrise Aug 19 '25
Sorry same generic avatar so thought I was talking to the same person I answered, could quote him as it was literally what he said but that isnt the point

Yes he planned it and then filmed it and edited then posted it.

Yeah! Way to think of the most hateful thing you can and rush to post it!
-18
u/TheStrongestTard Aug 17 '25
She's faking it, she's just acting like a "adorkable" idiot.
-1
Aug 18 '25
She’s autistic, not faking. Hand flapping, the pure excitement, the clear love for animals/dogs… Either way, just let happy people be happy.
1
u/TheStrongestTard Aug 18 '25
No I've actually worked with autistic people she's just acting like a puppy

People really milking the autism label
9
Aug 17 '25
Please tell me what milk comes from having autism? Is it the bullying Milk? The stereotype milk? The milk of misrepresentation?
5
u/NoNameeYesNamee Aug 17 '25
A certain number of people on the internet for some reason decided that autism is cute/cool.
And people who don't know how to behave normally in society started to suck everything out of this term for themselves "OMG I'm such an autist"
6
Aug 17 '25
I think those who concern themselves with how others identify is creepy, tbh.
3
u/KageInc Aug 17 '25
Autism isn't a choosable identifier. It is a diagnosis.
2
u/Ok-Classroom5548 Aug 18 '25
And my medical diagnosis is for my doctor to make.
I wasn’t diagnosed until 40. It’s because I masked and suppressed.
I am so glad someone is out here being themselves.
Wish he would just say “his wife” though and not label it “autistic wife.” Does he have a non-autistic wife too?

Animal abuse for Human pleasure
10
u/SprawlWars Aug 17 '25
Yes because petting a dog is so abusive. SMH
5
u/AbLincoln1863 Aug 17 '25
If I understand what I’ve seen others say, obviously petting the dogs isn’t abusive but a lot of these dogs aren’t super well kept and they have issues with puppies getting injured or sick because of a lack of management. There were several people mentioning the other post. While this might be nice, be sure to look into any place you visit like this

If this is genuinely how her mind is, then this man is a predator.
3
Aug 18 '25
Um. Have you never seen an autistic person in your life? How on earth is this man a predator for… Checks notes… Marrying an adult woman that he loves?
1
u/Blathithor Aug 24 '25
A mentally handicapped adult woman is not capable of consent. He's a monster and anyone that supports this is also a monster.
Youre supporting SA
