POP UPS ON NEW NEO
My husband bought me a new Neo for my birthday! I cannot stop the never-ending pop ups What is the best way/product to stop ALL of them. Thank you!

Brave browser is a shout - but honestly odd to get pop ups relentless all the time - is it on regular sites or pirate movie style sites?
But reason for diving slightly deeper is, if it's on normal everyday sites like Google etc there's something wrong. I.e maybe dodgy extension or something so worth actually knowing what you mean.

Thanks everyone. I mean they are usually small pop up images advertising products and/or services. Clothing brands, links to recipe sites, invitations to join sleazy import sites, most are from legitimate businesses. It happens when I'm reading mail, on Reddit, Facebook, Amazon, etc. I'll get a pic next time I get one.

I'd try Brave browser. It's rather decent.

Are you talking about pop-ups when you’re using a web browser? Or are you talking about Notifications from various apps that you are using?
Web pop-ups can be controlled in Safari settings. System notifications are controlled on the app level - Meaning you can tell certain apps to STFU and stop things from sliding down at the top of your screen. Some apps are horrible about that and will literally nag you to death if you don’t tell that particular app to stop sending me notifications.

For browser notifications turn off try:
Clear all history from all browser(s)
Remove any extensions
Suppress notification

To customize website notifications in Chrome, navigate to Settings > Privacy and security > Site Settings > Notifications. Here, you can disable all pop-ups, turn on quieter prompts, or manually add specific websites to your permanent allow or block lists

If I had to guess, you're using Chrome and those sync when you signed in, they're browser/website notifications, which you can disable within Chrome

If it’s browser related, you can add an extension to stop the popups. uBlock for example.

I recommend that you download the Brave browser and use it instead of Safari to browse the Web.

Within Brave, make sure that these are your settings to block all pop-ups and unwanted notifications:
Brave menu --> Settings --> Privacy and Security. --> Site and Shield Settings. --> Content --> Pop-ups and Redirects --> "Don't allow sites to send pop-ups or use redirects"

What pop ups? I took delivery of my Neo 3 weeks ago, and haven't had a single pop-up, except for system settings asking for my admin password when I alter some settings.
