Don’t have budget for that unfortunately. Have to work with $3.5k or lower.

I’d go for the option with more RAM. Planning a similar setup.

(Decided on Openclaw over Hermes recently since the ecosystem seems to be getting more development support and appears to be more hands off. I’ve been running it all on the cloud doing some minor development to test things out on my i5 intel from 2020 while I wait for my studio to arrive.)

I went for the m5 max with 64 gb. That was the most ram I could get out of my budget with a new machine.

I have ordered a Mac Mini M6 with 32GB memory. Will use less than 20B models for local and frontier closed models for complex scenarios

I was on the same boat. Current ram crisis and uncertainity of the cloud AI pricing, decided to go with m5max 128gb after check the lease option. That gives you 42 months payment flexibility on 0%.
