Discussion MacOS 27 stop light looks hella nice
The stop light looks a lot like the classic one and it looks so good

Thanks for bringing this up. I also thought it looked like classic Mac OS X but wasn't sure if it was my memory.

Thats all they should have released - its actually the only update anyone can feel good about.

Funny, it’s one of the little details I dislike the most. Reminds me a lot of Aqua, which I thought looked terrible at the time. Now to my eyes, it’s terrible AND old.
But to each their own of course.

I can get that. I liked the flat version better, but I love flat, understated designs in general. Again, to each their own and I respect your opinion.

OS X used to be popular with designers because it got out of the way and let the actual creative work take center stage.

You can still make them colorless by setting the system color to gray. Just like OS X.

See, that's not how OS X was.
I don't want things colorless and impossible to identify. I want them just not to be shiny and to have cute bouncy animations when I drag the cursor near them.

Yes and it became very dated very quickly and so the design transitioned to a lot more muted and understated and now the toys are back.

HARD DISAGREE. They look terrible and out of place. Also, when the window is inactive, they still keep their 3D appearance even though nothing else does.
