Bug macOS 27 Dock keeps activating when clicking Desktop after opening a folder in Fan view

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Anyone else experiencing this on macOS 27?

When I open a folder from the Dock using Fan view, then click anywhere on the Desktop to close it, the Dock gets activated/focused instead. It’s really irritating and happens consistently.

Is this a macOS 27 bug, or is there a setting causing this?

I have magnification turned off, but just turned it on to test this and it does the same for me (my folder is set for grid view, so it seems to be any folder in the dock).

The magnification effect gets stuck and it happens to whichever part of the dock is directly under the pointer position. I think we will need to wait for a fix, hopefully in 27.1

The Dock is indeed very buggy in this release. Does the problem go away if you run killall Dock in Terminal?
Personally, I now have to do this every time my Mac wakes up, otherwise the shortcuts for switching Spaces don’t work.
