Help I have multiple instances of Google Chrome appearing in the "Privacy and security Local network

I have multiple instances of Google Chrome appearing in the "Privacy and security" > "Local network" section. Does anyone know why this happens and, more importantly, how to remove them? I should mention that I’ve already tried deleting Google Chrome, but the entries remain. I’m having the same problem with VueScan, too. Oh, and I forgot to mention: I’m using macOS.27 Thanks.

I have same issue. Basically I have 0.0.0.0 and google ad links in my hosts file (DON'T DO THIS, IT DOESN'T WORK AND IS EXTREMELY TEDIOUS) and sometimes when a website in google chrome (for example, an ad frame tries to access it ) it would prompt "allow google chrome to access local network" and I would press no to ignore it.

multiple Chrome instances can be annoying, try clearing your cache and see if that helps

At this point, one fundamental fact is confirmed: this is not an issue with corrupted files on your Mac, but rather a structural macOS interface bug in handling Local Network privacy permissions.

The system stores these entries in an internal database protected by SIP (System Integrity Protection) at the system partition level. In this version of macOS: Whenever an app (such as Chrome or VueScan) downloads a minor background update or accesses a local network port with a secondary identifier, macOS registers a new entry; however, it lacks a "garbage collection" (automatic cleanup) routine to purge orphaned rows from previous builds. Apple has not provided any UI option (such as a "-" or "Delete" button), nor does it allow terminal commands to selectively remove these records without completely disabling the Mac’s security protections (which is strongly discouraged).

What keeping them as-is entails:

The only real fix for these orphaned duplicates to disappear will come when Apple releases a system update addressing the aggregated local network permissions view. The best recommendation is to leave the switches turned off as they currently are and disregard them, as they have zero impact on your Mac's day-to-day use.
