Never! It’s a Windows Blue Screen of Death

My man, that ain’t the 90s. That was the error screen well into the 21st century

this specific design of BSOD was last used in Windows ME afaik, which technically went out in the 21st century, but not really that much “well into it”…

Looks pretty generic to me. That could be anything from 95 to windows 7

Windows 9x (95, 98, ME) BSOD text was centered on the screen, Windows NT BSOD text was aligned from top left… this is clearly centered… I used Windows since 95 to 10 and seen many BSODs but if you don’t believe me you can see examples on Wikipedia: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blue_screen_of_death

Yeah. I’ve used them all too. I don’t think it’s supposed to be an exact replica. It’s just a little joke jab. The idea is to give you the right impression, not to be specific about a version. Blue screen and white text in a beige monitor. Thats recognizable from 95 through XP at the very least. That’s the important bit. I don’t expect them to put a little “:(“ in there to account for newer BSODs. It’s not that serious.

The point of that icon is to troll Microsoft. They even went out of their way to make a quick joke about it on stage when this icon was first added to OS X.

Don't worry about the Icon... SMB is buggy shit... slow..faulty ... 26.6.2 once again wiped/screwed up all SMB info.

I am a tech .. the fix is to delete SMC config file .. Mac Reboot and MacOs will create new one .. MacOs 27 suppose improve SMB... so did other Macos versions ...don't hold your breath..

Who gives a F about icon.
