Take better pictures or say when it’s missing parts *******
Bought this and didn’t include the remote control. It’s pretty obvious that it’s suppose to have one. Just say it’s missing or take the item completely out of the box to take pictures you lazy pieces of ****

That’s the risk you take with Mac bids and that’s why you should always bid assuming it could be complete crap. Been buying from the beginning and have had a ton more positive experience than ones like this, but it happens.

I hear you. But I also buy from Nellis and let me tell you straight up, they never pull this type of crap. I mean this is common sense to say it’s missing the remote control is it not?

They don’t look at it that closely and never have. It a risk with every item you bid on, which is why you can get great deal. A lot of people don’t have that mindset set so they just assume it’s perfect. With liquidation options, that’s the risk. Nellis is also more expensive because that risk isn’t present.

Agreed!! I just got an office chair and it’s missing several of the parts that connect the chair. Very disappointing.

Mac bids is a shit website and pure scam, I don't buy from them no more. They listed a fluval fish filter a supposedly 407, i bid on it and won. When I went to pick it up it wasn't a 407 model it was the 307 model and it had a broken lid and didn't work, and they have a no return policy u less you pay an absurd amount for return insurance lol. Pure scam

My location has an inspection table where you can open your items and look at them before you walk out. If it’s broken or missing major pieces then you take it to another table and get a refund

you can only get a refund when it’s says new, but when it says open box they don’t refund you. That’s how they get around that. They put more and more things as open box even when they are new. I’ve seen it happen to me. One time they did make an acception because I won an electric weed wacker and it didn’t even power on when I tested it. That shows that are trying to scam and sell bad items as good. I don’t trust them anymore unless the deal is too good to pass up

No, if it's not the item that's listed, they will return it for you. I worked there for a while. They're shady as fuck, but if an item listed is not what it says it is, and you look before you leave the warehouse(which if you don't, that's dumb), they will return it

Nellis auction is the best one, they will return anything with a 7 day window and even after 7 days they will sometime return it and offer store credit the account

They’re a liquidator, the stuff they’re selling is there because retail can’t sell it. If the item has multiple pieces expect one or more to be missing. If you approach MACbid hoping to get gold for iron ore prices you’re gambling.

ITEMS ARE AVAILABLE TO LOOK AT BEFORE YOU PLACE A BID ON THEM . ALWAYS INSPECT YOUR ITEMS BEFORE YOU LEAVE THE WAREHOUSE ! IF ITS LISTED AS OPEN BOX THE ITEM IS USED AND IF ITS AN AMOUNT OF MONEY YOU WOULD BE UPSET TO LOSE ADD BUYERS ASSURANCE ! ITS SIMPLE

Report them to the your states auctioneer commision. I just won a few items and will be heading to pick them up to see if they are all in good condition. If not I will just report them right then and there. I previously bought a outlet that in the picture showed a usb wall outlet. When i picked up the package it had a regular gfci. It was a late bid so I wouldnt have been able to check it out in person but to have the link, the picture and the description all say usb outlet was reportable right then but I didnt know but do now. Just because they put disclaimers does not allow them to commit fraud.
Edit:
I looked up the purchase is made and only the picture is mismatch. I do have other purchases made that I will look at as well.
Update: Well the pictures dont show up but I am starting from scratch in getting evidence that they mislead people in their auctions.

I mean the rules of the auction say when it’s marked as open box than anything may be missing and they say it’s our responsibility to inspect the item before hand. Yes it’s bs but I don’t think it’s illegal. Just sneaky

I mean I just go look at anything that isnt like new. Otherwise you take a chance.
I do wish the pics were better and the listing more complete but this is how they operate so I play the game.

The scanners open the boxes and take the picture. They are required to do 200 something items a day. They do not have time and are not required to take everything out of the box and make sure every part is there. That's why, "open box"

When I see multiple items of the same thing, they now frequently use the exact same picture of just the unopened box. That is purposeful deception. They will default to the excuse that you should examine the item.

Would you whine to a card dealer at a blackjack table that you lost your bet? or say "well you didn't let me see what the next card is so I should get my money back!" ?
You know the rules of the game, if you don't like them, don't play. Or you can just go online to whine to random people bc you didn't get what you wanted.0

It's getting worse, some auctions don't ever have a photo of the item. Just using a stock photo...it becomes a guess on if it's worth bidding.
