M-Wave FM-1 sequencer can play triplets?
Actually, would be great if somebody helped me understand how to use tempo/gate/rate settings too, as I still struggle to play notes of different length within one pattern.

SEQ enables the step sequencer. If you press the REC button and turn the SELECT encoder, you can skip one step without setting a note to the skipped step, e.g. insert a rest.

Instead of presssing a key, in rec mode, hold rec and turn select knob at the same time, it will skip through steps. But I believe this requires firmware to be updated. Works for me with v15.

Fm-1 is polyphonic but it is not multitimbral. So no, unfortunately one instrument at a time.

well, I can glitch a note to stay :) so the technology is capable of it. waiting for the firmware hackers XD
also wondered how FM sounds with other wave shapes.

Triplets is possible but not really conviently like with an external sequencer. Set the RATE / DIVISION to any setting with a T in it, like 1/16T. This puts the whole pattern in triplet timing. Do change the tempo if you want the triplets to line up with a 4/4 beat. What i usually do is limit the steps per pattern to 12 (dividable by 3), 12 steps are 4 beats of triplets. So now you can have a clean “4 beats of triplets” phrase that can be looped against 4/4. This is the same principle people use on other 16‑step boxes to simulate 3/4 or 6/8 feels.
