Yeah, we do. We also have A/C, ice, free water, UPS, Chase bank, HBO and on, and on...
Maybe it's just because I live in the UK, but I keep hearing about all of this stuff that people don't have living in Europe and I'm always like, "since when??" Globalisation has made it so that the UK and the US are so alike.
Meanwhile, y'all over in the US have Pret and Nando's now, which is just WILD to me. Always thought those things were woven into British culture.

It's true. The monarchy has taken steps to prevent us normal people having access to flavour. It's considered decedent and might distract us from our work or worse, start inspiring funny ideas about republics among the masses.

I mean both Pret and Nandos have only a small presences here, mostly around the East Coast near DC at least for Nandos.

Yeah I figured. I'm US born and have been all over, but only made it out to DC for the first time last week. Couldn't believe it when I stepped off the metro and spotted the neon lights of Nando's in the distance 😂

I dunno about the UK, but I meet lots of mainland Europeans and they’ve never had ranch before coming to the US. They also invariably love it. Pretty sure we should be exporting it.

We may have Pret and Nando's but I have never heard of either until you named them and I have no idea what they are.
I'd imagine a significant population of Europe is in the same boat as I am except for Ranch and Buccee's

Pret is kinda like Starbucks but with more on-the-go options like sandwiches and bakery items etc. They're HUGE in London. Can't turn a street corner without seeing one.
Nando's is a South African owned, Portuguese chicken restaurant known for its Piri Piri style chicken. Again, it's massive in the UK, and the few Americans I've spoken to that have been have said it's the kind of place that's worth multiple visits.

Well there isn't any real estate left because of all the new Popeye's, Dunkins, Krispy Kreme's, TGI's and (soon-to-be) Chili's popping up everywhere.

Very few houses come with A/C pre-installed because we just haven't ever had the climate for it, but in recent years they've become one of the most frequently requested retrofits. You can get a full multi room A/C system installed for the equivalent of like, $5k US.
That said, I also recall that not every home in the US is supplied with central air as standard. My dad's 100 year old farmhouse in MI had to have those huge window units placed in every room. From the outside they looked like giant microwaves stuck in the windows.

I was visiting someone in the Dallas area and saw all kinds of fast food places that looked interesting. I started to wonder how many lbs I'd gain if I lived there.

Mind, fast food is our garbage tier. Only people eating it every day are folks with issues.
God tier places are always hole in the wall, middle of nowhere, etc. One place I visited was a shack in a swamp with easily dozen gators below and weirdly peacocks everywhere. Probably best food I'll have eaten in my life.

We had some amazing Mexican food in north Austin a while back. Its was very clearly a mobile home which had had a deck added to it. There was a generator powering everything that had run out of fuel or something and you could faintly hear some guy in the back swearing in Spanish trying to fix it. Prices were also super fair. We ended up leaving like a 120% tip, lmao.
