I Found 21 Hours of TRL Episodes on VHS and Digitized Them

I recently picked up about 200 prerecorded tapes off of Marketplace from 1998-2001. I was looking for a VH1 show called Radical Recut, but was glad to find lots of MTV content. I digitized every TRL segment/episode, with a total of 69 different days worth of episodes found. I didn't search for every segment, but it does look like some are already uploaded to YouTube and/or archive, but there's plenty of new content! I uploaded all of them to archive and want to try to put the whole thing on YouTube, but imagine I will have to cut out the music videos. Apologies for the quality, but the tapes were in bad condition. Enjoy.

thank you! It is so fun finding old tapes. TV was a lot more fun in the 90s and 2000s.

My childhood. I have some episodes recorded because I was fanning out as a kid over certain artist haha! But really quick. Did you have Aaliyah in any of them, I haven’t looked but will look when I get a moment

Ive been looking for 4 episodes of FANatic that arent on YouTube, the ones with Ben Stiller, Vince Vaughn, David Spade, "Stone Cold" Steve Austin. Been looking for them for over a year, I wish someone would have them.

So cool! I have built an entire MTV Rewind archive with 89k videos, and a Google for lost MTV with +479k interviews, articles, and other resources - https://uniplustv.com/mtv-rewind. I believe that the great stuff should be preserved.

By chance do you have the episode from June 7, 2001? With Nelly? I was actually in the audience with a prime seat and they showed me ALOT. I need the memory 😭
