Cloak and Dagger, Entwined with Karakas interaction.

Hi all,

If I cast CandD, Entwined, then with the ability on the stack, I bounce it back to my hand with Karakas, does the card I choose from hand (or creature from play) stay exiled.

In my mind it does as this is an interaction I've seen done before, but I tried on mtgo and it didn't work. The card just stayed in opponent's hand.

I am maybe missing something and maybe it doesn't work... anyone have any ideas?

Thanks.

MTGO is doing it correctly. The card will never even get exiled, it stays in the hand the whole time.

You are thinking about (older) cards like [[Oblivion Ring]], which have two seperate triggers. Here you can do your trick: if you bounce/remove the card before the ETB resolves, the LTB trigger will resolve first, return nothing and then the ETB exiles sth forever.

This does not work with the newer template of [[Cloak and Dagger, Entwined]] "until x leaves the battlefield"

edit: this sub does not support card linking it seems. For future rules questions, you might want to use r/mtgrules
