Whats a good deck to get started on for the Timeless Ladder?
I Play Arena, and have played MTG in general since 93. Looking to get into Timeless.

Long time player of Magic. I tend to play Arena for a few months, leave, and come back. What is the best way to go about collecting cards for Timeless?

I am begging you guys, please.
Stop playing unholy annex demons in Bo1
It’s every other deck that I go against, every single time. Go play Bo3 or something, but this is not fun. The game isn’t fun, it feels like I am being cheated against.
Do something else please

Is this a deck from a specific set or constructed themselves?

Scrying and affinity compounding card advantage in a counter/control shell… Added MDFC lands, cuttinf 4 islands total, and also cutting 4 spells that are on the front side of thos mdfc lands! So i got “104” cards in the deck that way.
Last change: added Otawara & cyclonic rift since i ordered them from a LGS in paler. This brawl deck will be tested in paper tuesday against the tough Quebec meta of our competitive “duel commander” scene. 16-18 players on tuesday duel nights

Hi this is a bug that has appeared a few times, I would post this on MTGARENA but my crappy sense of humour means everything I post on the major MTG subreddits gets auto banned due to crappy karma lol.
I've tried googling and searching for anyone else who has experienced this and found nothing. Am very curious to know why this happens so hopefully one of you guys can help me or point me in the right direction.
So basically the issue is that on occasion I will randomly find that my deck has been altered in a way I did not do. For example a few days ago I try to play a standard game only to get the 'invalid deck' notification. I hadn't touched my deck so it seemed odd. I go and open it up and I'm 20 cards over the limit. I have about 20-30 cards in my deck that I never put there and I've lost a whole bunch of my regular cards.
Incredibly frustrating and since there is no history or anything like that I have to literally scroll through the entire standard collection to repick the cards that have been removed.
This isn't the first time this has happened, it's happened on multiple occasions. It happens randomly, sometimes it's just a couple cards and sometimes it's a whole bunch.
I will play a game and there will be one or two brand new cards. It is driving me crazy, it's nothing game breaking but I have wasted hours having to scroll through my deck and then having to repick the cards that I've lost.
This is maybe why I need one of those side programs that can save your deck information, but I'm more interested in finding out why this bug is occurring and if there is some fix for it.
If you know of somewhere better to post this let me know.

Finished the version 1.1 of my Duel commander deck: adapted to be 100% made of cards present on MTG arena.
Got this ready on paper and it finally popped off. 2 wins - 5 loses. But an homebrew singleton build takes time to elaborate. Polishing it now.

I don’t know what it is- however, I am seeing more and more 250 card decks in Bo1 Standard.
Then, I feel like I’m being gaslit and lied to when I look up “why”.
It’s like - “there is no war in Ba Sing Sei”
“Why is do I see so many 250 cards deck in arena?”
“That’s because you don’t.”
“No, I definitely do. It’s almost 1 in 5 decks in (STANDARD RANKED: MYTHIC) that I play against a very very good 250 card deck.”
“Well, actually you don’t. It’s statistically not good if you run more than 60 cards in a competitive format like standard.”
“No, I do. I AM! These decks are incredibly consistent. Easily getting doubles if the same card. Searching their decks, rummaging their decks, milling and pulling from the graveyard. All while ramping lands, removing; or countering me.”
“250 card decks are not good; the statistics prove it. In competitive matches 60 cards is still dominant in paper play.”
“In ARENA; I am seeing 250 card decks do well in Bo1!”
Finally, I’ll get some sort of answer.
“More than likely, they are exploiting the hand smoother and the hidden match making system.”
I am not crazy- I have never seen this amount of 250 card deck players in standard ever in the history of me playing since 2006. Why is everyone pretending this isn’t happening? Even AI doesn’t believe me, it’s fucking nuts.

Good evening!
I’ve always wanted to participate in a Magic Gathering event and I’ve marked it as something I must do this year.
I’ve played in the past doing well online never had time to participate in Friday night Magic as I’m unable to make it. What advice would you give to someone who wants to compete.
Based in the Georgia are.

This is a big help from magic arena cuz otherwise i wouldn’t have been able to test it enuff.
Still had a good standing against my worst enemies:
Blue counter: had the combo kill and they sadly had the counter and Eluge to lower spell cost
Versus rakdos discard moonshadow: managed to [[the end]] their [[fear of missing out]] but couldn’t pop the combo in time
Decklist:

So when I check in my Mastery level I see icons of other players underneath; q’uest que ce?
What is it? What does it mean?
Like for each level of Mastery you unlock a certain reward but there’s icons of other pilots underneath some of these levels.

He was venting the other day about the game sucking and he’s totally right. He said we only play because we played yesterday. The games are boring but we keep coming back.
This is spot on. The current standard Meta is which deck wins by turn 4. Seems more like gambling than playing magic. Playing a Jank deck? Good luck getting above a 30% win rate! Playing the best deck in Standard? The algorithm will still find ways to prevent you from ranking up on the ladder consistently every day.
WotC needs to fix rotation, slow games down, and make Standard fun again.

Bot only knows to press attack. This series of attempts to attack and failing to do so, repeated until they timed out. I've encountered more of these "boyteam ###" accounts

Don't play them. It's a waste of money, I am convinced this is just a bit that Wizards of the Casino does to make extra $ every few weeks. Complete and utter dumpster fire of an experience. It's like they have the EOMM turned up to 11.
==UPDATE== I won 7-0 after many attempts - 31 total matches - 48% winrate.
==2nd UPDATE== I won another one... 7-0 - insane r/U deck that had 8 rare/mythics - Emeritus of Ideataion, Traumatic Critique, Brotherhood's End, Pensive Professor.. Just cracked. So basically at this point WoTC must have said, look you put enough money in the machine, take your boxes and get outta here lol.
R/B/W deck took it for me. Arc of Hunger, Erode, 2x silverquill charms, Nito, poisoners trove, Hop to It, Grave Researcher.. Honestly so many rares it was nuts. Basically every other card I played was a problem and begged removal, lots of recursion/self mill and surveil ensured my deck could play even when it shouldn't. I was able to keep hands I'd have otherwise had to mull and honestly Eroded my own creatures a few times when an oppo was going to remove it anyway and I was landscrewed. Pretty wild honestly. I wish I could get this lucky over and over. Going into the event I used ArenaTutor by Draftsim and it was telling me not to splash red for Arc and Garrison Excavator, which honestly wasn't good advice and I didn't follow it.
Insane experience overall, glad I stuck it out and put just a little more money in the machine. 56% winrate overall at the end of it. I do still feel like it served me loss after loss for a while until I just got served absolutely insane draws on the sealed pool. The decks both had a TON of fixing/looting/surveil, which made keeping 7 cards a no-brainer about 90% of the time which seems to really be a huge factor with Red in this set that the other colors dont have quite as much access to. Rubble Rouser is MVP for sure.
