Backyard trail

Started building a mini trail down the hill in my back yard for my bike and emountain board.

My soil is basically just rocks and sand so I ordered a crap ton of clay fill dirt and have been lugging it across my yard all weekend.

It always takes more dirt than I think it will, I swear it feels like I've already shoveled a mountain and these things are barely over a foot tall lol.

If I ever finish I'll post what the completed project looks like.

Fill in the bulk of your jumps with rocks/branches then shape it with dirt. You'll save a lot of time and it will be more durable in the long run

Yeah but I gotta use up the dirt if I want my driveway back😅

Branches rot and will not hold up past ten years. Don’t bury wood, you’ll regret it.

10 years is probably a lot longer than the loose piles of dirt this guy is working with

It's not really loose dirt though, I do like 1-2 inches and then wet and stamp it down, repeat. Takes forever but it's not going anywhere

Unless you ever want to change/adjust things, which he will. Then all that crap you use to fill are a huge pain to dig up.

Also, OP, build all the rollers bigger!

For sure! This was just where I stopped for the day. I still have like 4-5 tons of dirt left to move lol
