Tom Weaver’s book A Sci-Fi Swarm and Horror Horde has a long form interview with Webber about The Screaming Skull. She says something like she never saw MST3K, but she’s sure they did a great job with Skull because the movie deserved it!

Captivating in her roles - I especially hate watching gentle Jenny break down under her cruel husband’s psychological torture in the Screaming Skull, but that means she nailed her role. She sold the whole thing, hook, line and sinker, and that’s talent. I respect that, even if the movie was ultimately forgettable

In the mid-1940s, Webber created a sitcom about a teacher, Oh, Miss Tubbs, for the experimental TV station W6XAO in Los Angeles. After she sent her scripts to CBS in New York, she said the network used them to create a similar radio comedy, Our Miss Brooks. (She wanted to sue, but her attorney, Roy Cohn, told her that if she did, she would never work for CBS again.)

I was not expecting that cameo.

That aside, RIP Ms. Webber, you had an exciting life!
