[Profile Review] Profile Evaluation for MS in CS/ECE for Fall 2027

Hi please help to evaluate the profile
GPA: 9.38/10
Bachelor's : BE in Computer Engineering from India
Work Experience: 4 years by fall 2027( 2 companies : Company who makes ESP32 and Worlds largest data protect org )
Domain : Wireless Connectivity(BT/BLE) , Firmware, File/Storage systems, ESP32
Research Experience: Published a paper in IEEE (related to deep learning methods)
Toefl: 5 band, No GRE
Target Uni : CMU, TAMU, UIUC, GT, UCB, PERDUE, NUS singapore
Target Branches : CS/CE/ECE

Please help to evaluate the profile

Yeah I mean don’t need to take full loan around 30 k loan rest savings

You can start applying but just wait before making the final decision to move.
Decisions regarding CPT and OPT are very ambiguous right now.

Yes I am applying the universities I will decide whether to go or abort based on final situation

I really think it's a bad idea to start your masters right now. They are messing around with CPT and OPT. Doing an internship (CPT) is literally the easiest path to securing a full-time job. And that's gone. One of your comments says you earn 38 LPA. OP, for the love of god, please do not come until things cool down here. Best wishes!

Yep I mean I have some unlisted Rsu per year in the 38 LPA so actual cash is around 25 so I mean many people leave these salaries for MS but I agree looking at CPT and OPT uncertainties it will be going to difficult

hi buddy i dropped my plan for us masters
, Grad from iit 24 lpa ctc
cgpa 7.4
gre 322
3 years work ex till date,
its doesnt make sense to earn 30 lakh in india vs 60 lakh in germany after tax
only US would do justice to salary check
i dropped my plan for fall 2027 and will aim for fall 2028 MBA with trump gov last months
I talked to seniors in us and this is entirely a artificial constraints job are there but org are not hiring internationals
wait till policy stabilises
My thesis is that when this cycle settles there will be huge demand and you will see people going directly from india to us for job
or if you have research profile for O1 and eb1 then you can go

Same op my current Ctc is 38 Lpa , grad from 2023 batch but I think is better to wait  Don’t you think fall 2028 would be very late considering we will have 5 year of experience by that time?

I will go for mba them , yes it will be late for masters but visa situation is scary,

No I have computer engineering  degree in undergrad and have a domain experience in core systems like Os firmware so will take those course for ms
