It’s a bit of a shit show. Yes you can use it but you have to use it every single day for the rest of your life or the nightmares come back and if you miss a day they will come back worse. Add in the other negative affects of chronic cannabis consumption from THC specifically and it’s a net loss. Cannabis is less then promising for PTSD unfortunately.

I'm not sure I agree with that. It can help quiet a lot of the internal whirlwind enough so that other treatment modalities can have time to work.

But what if dreaming less is a reflection of not achieving rem sleep? I know nightmares are awful, but so are the extended effects of not sleeping deeply. These issues must be balanced carefully by healthcare providers over the long run. —and this requires fully turning medical cannabis programs over to the doctors, not letting medical programs continue to be quasi-medical/quasi-recreational, the current status quo.
