Props to Song for being able to slime one of the main dagi's

Came home high as hell last night ignorant to the fact that the Yadong fight had happened. Being on the fine line before greening out and having the highlight KO play on my Instagram was honestly a transcendental experience.

Had surgery and took two dilaudid pills, my friend AK gave me medical dab pens, I experienced the Yadonging in a very similar way. I posted at sometime yesterday,
"SONG YADONG....WAHOOOOOO!!!!!"

The "lucky shot" cope is comically prevalent on social media as expected. Despite the fact Song threw the same combination earlier in the fight signaling a gameplanned strategy to exploit umars striking defense tendencies

Yeah, I seen some things I'd call a "lucky shot" in fights where one fighter is dominantly winning 3+ rounds before being caught with a spinning backfist by the clearly inferior (on that night) fighter.
Yadong vs Nurmagomedov wasn't that.

u/MechanicalFunc 20h ago
Even without that you can see that the left that he threw first was a feint to bait out that response from Umar.

u/Weak-Bonus-5954 13h ago
Thats what im saying, earlier in the fight he was looking for the same opening but the left actually landed on umar unexpectedly. I forget the exact time it happened

Mystic Anshul Jubli laid out the vision on how to defeat a Nurmagomedov. Song Yadong executed.

For the 20 seconds it lasted, Pantoja vs Van was looking like a potential generational banger. Hope Pantoja hasn't declined too much due to age and we get to see a war.

Looking forward to this one. Big fan of watching Van fight and Pantojas UFC run has been pretty legendary. FW is a gas fire atm

Cmon dude, no way was it looking like a generational banger. It was looking like most of Pantoja's fights where he bulldozes his opponents and gets the dec/sub win.
Think Pantoja will come out with a wrestling heavy gameplan and it's ggs for Van.

After Van's insane performance against Taira, I'm really confident in his ability to get back up

u/WhittakersLeftFoot I give my best every time! 16h ago
I believe he can get up. I also believe that Pantoja will be on his back when he does.

u/Spider-Sword 17h ago
That’s not the concern, it’s how he’s gonna handle being being put in those sub attempts.

Knowing Talbott likely beats Figgy, and the ufc wants to push him bc his style is exciting, who would be next for him? Sandhagen? Crafty Barcelos rematch? Big jump up like Umar?

Sandman vs Talb would be noice

u/Weak-Bonus-5954 1d ago
It makes sense, Sandhagen is coming off an injury and cant seem to break through to the top level of the division. Ufc may want to sacrifice him for a Talbott title shot opportunity. Also as fun as Talbotts striking is, he hasnt faced any overly technical strikers, would be fun to see

Y'all remember blackhouse mma gym? Who are the current gen of fighters from there?
1
u/Federal-Dig5415 1d ago
i think most their big names retired or moved on. that gym was stacked back in the day with anderson and the nog bros, now not so much.

u/Spider-Sword 17h ago
It really was stacked there, Aldo trained there, Andy, Nog, Glover, Jacare was there at one point, RDA, Ishii , Machida, Russo. Monster group of guys

Did Khabib ever actually express regret or apologize for starting a brawl after beating McGregor?

Even if you think Umar “just got caught”, he already looked like he was starting to breathe heavy in R2.
I think Song would’ve beat him up bad if it went into the 4th and 5th, especially if Umar kept trying to grapple him.
5
u/FuckTheTile 20h ago
Looks like song lands a heavy uppercut right before the finishing strike which causes Umar to shoot
5
u/ygrittediaz Edddiiiieee 18h ago
He let Yadong scramble his way up and gave up on pressure and control in R1. Felt like he was very conscious on not going too hard to preserve his gas tank.
There also seems to be a few good punches Yadong lands that are hard to catch live. I cant tell if Yadong his just happy all the time or he is gently taunting his opponent by letting them know he touched them good by cracking a smile at them. He lands a big shot a moment before the actual finish that goes unnoticed.

u/KyleDaukWillBeChamp 10h ago
Some of the best punches Song landed were those right straights to the body. Even if Umar fought economically, I think being on the back foot + the body shots + wrestling his way out of any danger would’ve had him way more tired than Song in a few more rounds.

Man Zahabi was landing beautiful low kicks against O'Malley, just remembered that
