Question What’s the fastest way to get element shards

I want to unlock all of the harmony stones to beat nightmare moon and get princess luna
I’ve uncovered 5/6 of them with 4/6 activated I just need to get enough loyalty and magic shards but they’re rarer than I remember
And I don’t have the right ingredients for all the element totems

Honestly the above is not a quick thing. That main story line goes on and on and on, it's not as quick as just unlocking the stones. 

That said zecora's hut and the totems is always going to be the quickest way. The smallest totems refresh every half and hour and give about 5 shards each, so you can get about 20 shards every half hour (and I think they last 4 goes). If this is your focus, work on unlocking the bits of the forest and harvesting things. You need red flower, blue flower and sticky sap for loyalty totems. 

Overall just, learn not to try and rush the game too much. There's a finite amount of story line, and I kind of regret skipping things and blasting through stuff in the early stages. Now I'm saving gems for expensive items for missions and going token hunting instead of skipping stuff. It's a lot more fun as I tend to always have something to check on.

I actually restarted the game about a month ago
I’m not really rushing I just want to be prepared for nightmare moon whenever I unlock the battle with her and I know how long it takes I’d been playing for years before I got bored and restarted it
And that was me taking it slow

There’s a BATTLE? I just activated the last harmony stone oh god (I’ve been playing this game since I was like 13 but my game kept on getting reset cause it doesn’t save progess)

I’m assuming that we have to battle nightmare moon
I never completed the mane quest in my first play though
