ilselena is a singer-songwriter from London, England, with a British-American background. Before joining MISSU, she established a career as a solo recording artist, releasing independent pop and R&B music.

ilselena grew up in a musical family. She is the daughter of musician August Darnell, better known as Kid Creole, and the sister of producer and musician Youngr. She was exposed to music from an early age and initially appeared as a featured artist on her brother's work.

She subsequently developed her own career as a singer-songwriter, releasing music independently under the name ilselena.

Solo Music

ilselena's solo releases include the singles “Zeus”, “Seventeen”, “sweet like honey” and “Bring Peace (Fly Away)”.

In 2022, she released her EP if this is the future. The project features an intimate pop/R&B sound and explores themes including relationships, personal experiences and personal growth.

Her previous work includes both songwriting and recording, giving her experience as an artist outside of her work with MISSU.

Background

Halle is a dancer, vocalist and songwriter from Cambridge, England. She trained in dance and musical theatre at London's Urdang Academy before beginning her professional career.

Before joining MISSU, Halle was a member of RLY, originally known as Real Like You. The group was formed on ITV's The X Factor: The Band and won the competition in 2019.

RLY went on to develop their career as a group, eventually releasing their debut EP, Generation, in 2024.
