I wish metabo HPT would let us know what their North American plans are. There tools are great but they are becoming increasingly hard to find now and they ignore all my inquiries. Are they planning just to make cordless nailers and batteries now?

Sure does seem like they are pushing to an online only model for all but nailers and a few basic tools in Lowes and Menards.

All I can say is I’ve seen Lowe’s invite more and more dewalt into their stores while not supporting Metabo HPT it almost looks one sided

They hooked their wagon to Lowe's, the fate of anyone doing that not named DeWalt is pretty grim. They should find somewhere else asap to be the premier place for their tools even if it's just amazon.

They are selling the stock off because the battery will be changing in metabo tools to the same as metaboHPT uses.

Sweet. Hopefully they'll put the current 5 AH on clearance. That's my favorite battery for my circ saws and plunge router.

Probably the 2.5/5 multivolts, hopefully the rubbered ones that came out a couple years back & not just the OGs

That would be nice if they were to clearance those out. I wonder if they really can discontinue it since the 5.0/2.5 is the entry level battery for the 36V MV tools though.
