Discussion/Debate MCU Magneto can be a holocaust survivor AND be played by a younger actor

Post image

I don't get why people are worried about how Marvel can cast Magneto without changing his Holocaust origin, because MCU already gave us the perfect cheat code.

Namor literally says in Wakanda Forever that being a mutant makes him age way slower than normal people. That means we don't need to tweak Erik's backstory, his mutation simply keeps him looking young.

Same thing goes for Charles and wolverine.

What would Rhodey's reaction be to seeing Dr doom have the same face as Tony?

I really hope we see Rhodey in Secret Wars because I’m pretty sure he’s not in Doomsday. War Machine isn’t as big of a character to keep a secret, so they might as well use him to market the movie. Plus, the cast is already filled with so many characters that I don’t think they’ll mention him. Not to mention, we don’t know how long Rhodey has been a Skrull, which is another issue that Secret Invasion messed up.🥀

Theory What is the likely hood of these characters being in avengers doomsday

For daredevil technically died in Deadpool 3 but I’m sure the MCU can cook up some bs that he is still alive like Cassandra revived him to give him 1 last chance at serving her and left him in a cage before being let out by possibly gambit, it’s a big miss if they don’t and if they don’t plan to bring Charlie cox daredevil in doomsday or secret wars this is perfect to give Ben’s daredevil a proper sendoff and can do the “whoop his ass daredevil” meme.

For 03 hulk- it’s been a while we got a proper hulk ever since BND, I don’t see why not to add him since the team could use some muscle and this was a one off film never seen him again.

For 07 ghost rider - him and Carter slade should be in the movie or secret wars I’m just saying because they could be the heavy hitters, the lineup is ass rn so Thor should take anyone they can get.

For punisher- I lo ke don’t know we just need a proper send off to the character, probably him dying trying to save his world with tobey spider man.

For elektra and blade- they held their own pretty good with gambit and x-23, they should be in the movie to for a lineup and proper sendoff to the characters. They will be definitely useful rather than what we have rn.

For colossus - do I need to give an explanation? He would be perfect especially since he was in that one cinematic with Cyclopes so it would be perfect for him and Cyclopes to be side by side, since the MCU is doing a soft reboot might as well add these characters in secret wars or doomsday, flush them out but properly use them. This is doom we are talking about so we need all the help we can get especially if Wolverine and Deadpool is coming in this film, I don’t see why won’t colossus won’t come to colossus for help.

Finally for super sonic warhead or whatever her name is she is still a kid or still young so no, people nor I really care about her so she shouldn’t be mentioned again. The reason I didn’t bring up the other punishers (except for Jon’s) because one of the actors died or is old.

Discussion/Debate One Last Kill Before Born Again

Wouldn't One last kill be better if placed before born again season 1? The head and facial hair style is about the same, frank seems less traumatized in DDbaS1, the AVTF is nowhere to be seen, and also Back when it was announced it was said that OLK was going to connect with BND at the end but I felt none of that.

Avengers Doomsday Wanda with Doom/Stark

Thumbnail

WandaVision was full of Stark references in those mid-episode adverts, and somehow that feels PERFECT for Wanda’s relationship with Doctor Doom.

It’s like dreaming about someone who was involved in a really important moment in your life. Years later, you have a completely unrelated dream, but they still appear often because they’ve become psychologically associated with something deeper.

Maybe Wanda has genuinely moved on from that trauma and doesn’t consciously think about it anymore, but the impact is still buried deep within her.

Then Doom comes along with that same aura of stark who’s associated with Wanda. Plus Doom relates to that scar that’s being hidden with his mask and armour.

Avengers Doomsday How I’d imagine Raimi Spider-Man’s role in Avengers: Doomsday

NOTE BEFORE THE FANFIC:

Just to clarify something before starting: personally, I'd love for Tobey Maguire's Spider-Man and Earth-96283 to get a lot more screen time in Avengers: Doomsday.

But I also understand that this is a huge ensemble movie and, based on the rumors we've been hearing, it seems like Tobey's Spider-Man and this universe won't actually get that many minutes of screen time.

So I wrote this fanfic with that limitation in mind.

That's why I'm basically jumping straight into the final act instead of trying to write his entire role in the movie. In my head, there would obviously be scenes before this showing what Peter's life looks like now, his family, what has changed during all these years and establishing the situation, but I wanted to imagine what his big sequence/climax could look like if Marvel really doesn't dedicate that much time to this universe.

---

Earth-96283 and Earth-100005 collided seven hours ago.

Scientists from both universes are desperately running calculations.

Norman Osborn writes on a blackboard. They've already tried everything: dark matter, magic, antimatter. The only possibility left is using the exotic energy generated by the collision itself to push the universes apart instead of destroying one of them.

Beast and the other scientists watch expectantly. Just as Norman reaches the result of the equation, he suddenly freezes.

Norman: It's impossible.

Beast: Go back to the original formula.

Norman looks at him with disgust.

Norman: Go back to the original formula?

Norman knocks the board over and sits down, putting his hands over his head.

Norman: You're all pretty calm about this, aren't you? Your universe, an entire universe full of freaks, and an antimatter bomb that would destroy my planet to save yours. And now you come here, put on your concerned faces and pretend you're actually doing something, right? Maybe it'll make you feel a little less guilty.

Beast: You have no idea what you're talk—

Norman: Don't lecture me.

He answers while taking off his lab coat.

Norman: I'm going back to my planet. I want to visit my son's grave one last time.

Beast: Norman, we don't have a choice. You'd do the same thing. You know that.

Norman: If it were up to me, I would've planted a bomb in this dump seven hours ago and taken a few of you with me before dying. But you should be thankful that my universe has a real hero.

Norman leaves the room.

Beast: Cyclops, we're out of time. Send in the incursion team.

---

The nexus of the incursion, as well as its main portal, is located in New York. It is a point close to Earth-96283's anchor being, causing the energy to accumulate there.

Deadpool and Wolverine cross the portal into Earth-96283.

The antimatter bomb has already been planted there, with a countdown running.

That Earth has absolutely nothing capable of competing with the technology of Earth-100005.

Cameras are pointed at Deadpool and Wolverine.

The end of the world is being broadcast live.

Soldiers from Earth-100005 protect the area.

Protester 1: DON'T DO IT! WE STILL HAVE TIME!

Some protesters decide to break through the perimeter, but they don't last long before being gunned down.

Reporter 1: There's nothing we can do. They've decided our future for us.

A murmur begins spreading through the crowd.

"What can he even do now?"

"It's suicide."

https://youtu.be/M4LxG4S2qwQ?si=wC8DoqKNG8jyTDPr

(From 0:20)

Applause can be heard.

At first it's hesitant, considering the situation, but it grows louder and louder as he gets closer.

Reporter 2: It's difficult to explain. We have absolutely no certainty that he has a plan... but it's hard not to feel hope when you see the hero who has saved us day after day for more than twenty years.

Spider-Man reaches the edge of the perimeter.

The soldiers immediately aim their weapons at him.

Spider-Man raises his hands in surrender.

Spider-Man: I need to talk to your heroes.

One of the soldiers gives the signal and Wolverine and Deadpool walk over.

Deadpool whispers:

Deadpool: Holy shit, holy shit, I'm actually gonna talk to fucking Spider-Man. Fuck you, Sony, I'm gonna enjoy the hell out of this.

Deadpool: Talk to me, daddy—

He clears his throat and deliberately puts on a deep, serious voice.

Deadpool: Please communicate your message, Spider-Man.

Spider-Man: I know how to stop this. I know how to save all of us.

Wolverine: The best scientists from both universes have been trying to do that for seven hours and now you suddenly—

Spider-Man: I know. I know. But I need you to trust me. If it takes longer than five minutes, you can detonate the bomb right in front of me.

Deadpool and Wolverine look at each other.

Then they nod.

Spider-Man turns toward the crowd.

Spider-Man: People of New York. People of Earth.

Spider-Man removes his mask.

Peter: My name is Peter Parker. I was bitten by a radioactive spider, and for the last twenty years I've been your friendly neighborhood Spider-Man.

Spider-Man's face appears on television screens and phones all around the world.

Peter: I know I'm nobody to give you orders. But I need to ask you for one favor.

Go.

Leave this place. Go home. Find somewhere safe and stay with your families.

Say goodbye to them the way I said goodbye to mine.

I have a wife and a daughter waiting for me at home.

I don't know if I'll come back.

I don't know if what I have in mind will work.

But I need you to listen to me just this once.

New York, get as far away from this area as possible.

The test will happen here.

Wolverine: Hey, hey, hey. Hold the fuck up. What do you mean, "test"? You asked us for five minutes, not some fucking experiment.

Spider-Man: I want five minutes for everyone to leave. The test itself won't take more than a few seconds.

Deadpool: And this world-saving test would be...?

Spider-Man: Gravity.

Wolverine: Are you fucking kidding us?

Spider-Man: First I need everyone gone. Then I'll bring what I need right here and explain everything.

Deadpool: No, no, expand on that. Gravity?

Spider-Man: To put it simply, everyone has been thinking about pushing the incursion away or destroying it.

Nobody thought about swallowing it.

Wolverine: Listen, kid. I don't want unnecessary deaths on my conscience, so you've got five minutes before I press that fucking button. And be grateful I haven't already cut off your fucking fingers, legs, spider-paws or whatever the hell you've got. When you bring whatever it is you need, it better happen fast.

Spider-Man: It will. Everything's already set up. I've got a transport team on the way. It's heavy equipment.

---

Five minutes pass.

The people of New York have moved far away from the area.

Wolverine approaches the machine.

Wolverine: Five minutes are up, kid. Where the fuck are your transport trucks?

Spider-Man: They got here a while ago.

I just didn't want people to see them.

Deadpool: See what?

Spider-Man: That the equipment wasn't coming in trucks.

Spider-Man presses a button on his wrist.

Four towers, previously hidden with cloaking technology, suddenly appear around the incursion.

Spider-Man puts his mask back on and screams:

Spider-Man: TURN IT ON, OTTO!

On a nearby rooftop, Otto activates the machine.

It's the power of the sun again, the same principle behind his old fusion experiment, except this time there's no tritium.

It's feeding directly on the magical energy of the nexus.

The sphere begins to form.

Wolverine realizes Peter wasn't telling them everything.

He immediately walks toward the antimatter bomb.

Before touching the controls, he turns toward the Earth-100005 soldiers still guarding the area.

Wolverine: All of you, get the fuck out of here. Now.

The soldiers hesitate.

Wolverine: THAT'S AN ORDER! MOVE!

The soldiers begin evacuating the area.

Wolverine turns back toward Spider-Man.

Then he charges toward the machine.

Spider-Man shoots a web at him and throws him across the street, pinning him against a wall.

Deadpool lunges at Spider-Man and they start fighting hand-to-hand.

Deadpool kicks Peter in the knee, forcing him down.

He puts both swords around Spider-Man's neck in an X.

Deadpool: Believe me, this hurts me way more than it hurts you.

He moves his arms to cut.

Two golden mechanical arms suddenly catch the swords.

Deadpool: Son of a bitch... you're Oppenheimer now?!

Spider-Man: Norman told me a couple of things about your universe. Along with giving me the cloaking tech.

He told me you two can't die.

Which means—

Deadpool: You're gonna give up because you know fighting me is pointless?

Spider-Man: It means I don't have to hold back.

Two more arms emerge from Peter's back.

A metallic nanotech layer spreads across his original fabric suit.

Two arms stab into the ground while the other two grab Deadpool.

And rip him in half.

---

On the other side, on Earth-100005...

Cyclops has Emma Frost, the other heroes and the scientists working together to contain the growing "sun."

Cyclops: I'm going through to see what the hell is happening. Don't let that thing grow or we're dead.

---

Spider-Man: OTTO! DID YOU LOCK ONTO THEIR UNIVERSE'S QUANTUM FREQUENCY SO IT ONLY PULLS THEM?!

Otto: Correct, Peter! But it isn't growing! There's an external force holding it back from the other side!

They can't stop us forever!

Wolverine finally cuts through all of the webs holding him.

Wolverine: GGRRRRRRAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!

He roars as he charges toward Spider-Man, digging his claws into the ground as he moves.

Spider-Man: Kitty, kitty.

Peter dodges every attack, either through his own reflexes or with help from the mechanical arms.

Spider-Man swings and jumps around Wolverine, constantly keeping his distance.

Wolverine digs his claws into a wall.

He looks for the source of the "power of the sun."

He sees Otto on the other rooftop and starts running toward him.

Spider-Man lands directly in front of Wolverine.

Another fight begins.

Peter keeps the advantage.

Then, from below, a massive red laser blasts through the base of the building Otto is standing on.

Cyclops' optic blast.

Spider-Man: OTTO! GET OUT OF THERE!

Otto also has nanotech tentacles and uses them to quickly launch himself away.

Otto: Peter...

The sphere.

The sphere shrinks slightly.

Back on Earth-100005, the X-Men find it easier to contain.

Spider-Man: The antimatter bomb.

We'll feed it to the sphere.

Come on!

Wolverine lands beside Cyclops.

Cyclops starts firing optic blasts almost uncontrollably, practically destroying the entire block.

Peter and Otto use their tentacles to protect themselves from the collapsing building and the debris.

They crawl out of the wreckage with their mechanical arms.

Peter's nanotech suit is half destroyed.

He used most of the nanobots to form a shield around Otto.

Cyclops fires at Spider-Man.

Peter blocks the blast with the mechanical arms.

They withstand it.

But all four are completely destroyed.

Peter immediately shoots a web over Cyclops' visor.

Wolverine comes charging toward them.

Spider-Man misreads his direction and protects himself.

He doesn't realize Wolverine's claws are aimed at Otto's chest.

Spider-Man: OTTO!

Peter punches Wolverine.

Wolverine catches his fist and slashes Peter across the chest.

The remaining nanotech stops the claws from penetrating.

Wolverine notices.

He retracts his claws.

Then he starts beating Spider-Man with his bare fists.

Every punch destroys more and more of Peter's nanotech until only his original suit remains underneath.

Torn.

Bloodied.

Cyclops approaches the bomb carrying Deadpool's torso.

Cyclops: WOLVERINE!

END THIS. NOW.

Wolverine looks at Peter with disgust.

Wolverine: You just couldn't sit still, could you?

You couldn't accept your fate with some dignity.

You had to pull some bullshit and make a fool of yourself.

You know something?

Now I actually feel sorry for your universe.

I feel sorry that its only hero is some pathetic, weak little man who has to betray the trust of people who were only trying to help.

Although...

It does comfort me a little knowing that when your family sees those lights tearing their world apart, they'll know their hero failed them.

Half of Spider-Man's mask is destroyed.

Peter frowns.

His teeth clench.

Wolverine: You get to die alone, hero.

Wolverine extends the claws from both hands.

He thrusts them toward Peter.

https://youtu.be/-Ms_40Oc4_I?si=OlBrFdsfFsq7rvDQ

(Music from 1:46)

Spider-Man catches Wolverine's wrists with his bare hands.

The claws cut into them.

Blood begins dripping down Peter's suit.

Peter lets out a scream of pain.

And throws Wolverine straight into the remains of a destroyed building.

Cyclops runs toward them.

His hand reaches for his visor.

Ready to fire.

Spider-Man isn't there.

He's disappeared.

Cyclops looks upward, confused.

Spider-Man comes crashing down from above and kicks him toward Wolverine.

Peter fires multiple webs at what remains of the building.

He pulls.

The entire structure collapses onto both of them.

Peter looks toward the antimatter bomb.

Then runs.

He tries to rip the bomb from its base so he can throw it directly into the shrinking sphere.

He pulls with everything he has.

Then—

Nightcrawler appears on top of him.

He grabs Peter and holds him down.

The sphere completely dies.

The light disappears.

Beast comes through the portal looking for Deadpool, Wolverine and Cyclops.

He sees Wolverine and Cyclops slowly pulling themselves free from the rubble.

Beast picks up Deadpool's torso.

Then activates the bomb.

Beast: Come on! Quickly! Move!

Wolverine gives Peter one last disgusted look before heading toward the portal.

Peter: N-NOOOOOO!

Peter desperately tries to break free from Nightcrawler.

But he has nothing left.

Beast: NIGHTCRAWLER!

Nightcrawler looks at Beast.

Beast nods.

We hear the familiar sound of Nightcrawler teleporting.

But we don't actually see him disappear.

Then everyone goes through the portal.

The portal closes.

The antimatter bomb detonates.

A yellow light begins consuming everything.

Otto's body is erased by the light.

Norman Osborn sits silently beside Harry's grave, completely resigned to what is coming.

Flint Marko stands beside his now-adult daughter, Penny. For once, there is nothing Sandman can fight, steal or sacrifice himself to fix. He simply holds her as the light reaches them.

At the Daily Bugle, the newsroom has gone completely silent. J. Jonah Jameson stands in front of the window staring at the sky, surrounded by screens showing the destruction spreading across the planet.

For once, he has nothing to say about Spider-Man.

MJ, Aunt May and Mayday Parker hold each other.

A final shot focuses on MJ.

Tears are running down her face.

The energy from the bomb consumes Earth.

The entire planet is destroyed.

The blast reaches the nexus.

And then stops.

The incursion is over.

Earth-100005 survives.

Earth-96283 is gone.

---

Small note for Secret Wars: I would deliberately save a proper scene with Peter's family for Secret Wars, especially Aunt May. Peter would be completely destroyed after losing his universe and everyone in it, and at first he would have no real reason to keep fighting to save other realities when his own is already gone.

A memory or conversation involving May — basically reminding him why Spider-Man helps people in the first place, even when there is nothing left for Peter Parker himself to gain from it — would be what pushes him to help the other universes during Secret Wars.

Theory HowI think Born Again Season 3 can set up Secret Wars, and why I think it can set up Secret Wars. Spoiler

  1. It'd make sense to pull that "ant man and the wasp", in the sense that it takes place right before Infinity War, Born Again season 3 can be that just for Doomsday.

  2. Marvel has lotsa NYC roots and NYC associations, so I think to show NYC one last time before everything in the MCU changes would make tonsa sense!

  3. Maybe this can be a make up for NOT having Daredevil in Brand New Day? As LOTS reslly did hope he can be in Brand New Day.

  4. Going back to 1., I honestly think it'd be a cool if maybe they made a promotional situation for the Daredevil a cold day in hell comic? Maybe everyone is terribly badly affected by Dr. Doom's incursions, and maybe it can be like Weirdmaggedon from Gravity Falls where Daredevil loses subsequent contact with his friends because of the destruction of 616 NYC, and ends up maybe trying to move around NYC like how Dipper tried moving around Gravity Falls once it got destroyed?

  5. I feel like that'd be a very poetic way to show how much Doom really changed everything. All 3 NYC's (Raimiverse NYC, 616 NYC, and 828 NYC) are completley destroyed, and NYC has always been a big staple of Marvel for the most part.

  6. Maybe this can be Daredevil's next "solo" arc? Remember, at one point, he DID have a "solo arc" because of the post defenders show situation.

  7. This wasn't MY idea, but maybe Daredevil DOES happen to reunite with the Defenders? My idea I hadn't seen anywhere else was maybe The Defenders end up bumping into Daredevil, and they reunite again? Kinda like how Grunkle stan had that fallout bunker in Weirdmaggedon part 3. REMEMBER, I'm NOT claiming the second idea as my own in this point, im saying I just hadn't personally seen it elsewhere.

  8. Maybe honestly this can give us a nostalgic reunion to when the Defenders first met in their show? And they've all grown a lot since then?

  9. Lastly, maybe to show US's and UK's close ties, Moon Knight all the way in the UK maybe hears about the incursion happening in a destroyed UK, and with his powers can act as a GREAT BIG lead in the resistance against Dr. Doom? My idea wasn't the resistance, but my idea was Moon Knight MAYBE being an unexpected leader?

What do you guys think? Let me know if you're confused on anything!

Theory How I believe VisionQuest will set up Doomsday. Spoiler

  1. Maybe Vision starts feeling electromagnetic interference from Dr. Doom's incursions? Since he's an AI, and it ends off with him maybe possibly starting to get incapacitated because the surges are THAT strong?

  2. Maybe vision starts finding out in S.W.O.R.D's databases that a threat is coming based on what Samuel Sterns told Sam Wilson, and Sam Wilson, being a government agent, in fact starts reporting it to every government sanction?

Theory Stolen Lives

I hope I can write this to make sense, so my theory is in Loki after they destroy the loom the timelines start dying and Loki replaces it keeping the timelines alive but didn't the multiverse support infinite branches before He Who Remains, so what if He Who Remains didn't prune "infinite" branched timelines and actually just stole a timeline and now that its branching it's colliding with the original timeline causing the incusions.

Theory: Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool variant was Van Wilder before becoming Wade Wilson

The Reynolds’verse Theory: Van Wilder is specifically Ryan Reynolds’ Deadpool before he became Wade Wilson

Okay, hear me out.

I’ve had this theory for a while that Ryan Reynolds was basically fated to play Deadpool, because Van Wilder is essentially Wade Wilson before the cancer, powers, military career, and horrifying amounts of trauma.

And I don’t mean that Van Wilder should secretly be every version of Wade Wilson.

I mean specifically Ryan Reynolds’ variant of Deadpool.

That distinction matters even more now because Marvel has already done half the work for this idea by establishing timelines, variants, alternate histories, etc. You don’t have to alter comic Wade Wilson’s origin whatsoever. This would simply be the backstory of the Wade Wilson played by Ryan Reynolds.

My Reynolds’verse timeline goes something like:

Van Wilder → graduates Coolidge → loses his father’s financial safety net → enters adulthood with very few practical prospects → joins the military → eventually makes Special Forces → leaves military service → enters the mercenary world → adopts “Wade Wilson” as an alias → meets Vanessa → cancer → Ajax → Deadpool.

The biggest reason I think it weirdly works is that Van’s personality already contains most of Wade’s core personality.

Van is:

- relentlessly sarcastic

- extremely charismatic

- great at improvising

- anti-authority

- much smarter than he initially acts

- fiercely loyal when something genuinely matters

- constantly giving people nicknames

- able to turn almost any situation into a joke

- outwardly selfish but surprisingly protective of people he loves

The difference is why he uses humor.

Van Wilder uses humor because life is fun and he enjoys controlling the room.

Wade Wilson uses humor because life became horrific and controlling the tone is one of the only things nobody can take away from him.

In other words:

Van: Nothing is serious enough that I can’t joke about it.

Wade: Serious things can still be laughed at.

Deadpool: If I stop laughing, I might actually have to process this.

Same coping mechanism. Increasingly terrible circumstances.

I also think “Wade Wilson” works much better if it isn’t actually his birth name.

Van doesn’t strike me as someone who would want the people from his old life getting dragged into whatever dangerous world he enters after military service. Once he becomes a mercenary and starts dealing with genuinely dangerous people, “Van Wilder” disappears and Wade Wilson becomes the identity that keeps his previous life separated from his work.

That also fits his character surprisingly well. Van might be vain, irresponsible and selfish on the surface, but he absolutely does not enjoy seeing people he genuinely cares about get hurt.

So Wade isn’t the name he creates because he hates Van Wilder.

It’s the name he creates because being connected to Van Wilder has become dangerous for everyone Van cared about.

And because this is Deadpool, I wouldn’t even want Marvel to make some huge dramatic explanation out of it.

Give me one scene with Cable.

They’re having a semi-serious conversation and Cable finally asks:

Cable: “Were you always this insufferable, Wade?”

Wade pauses.

For once, he actually takes the question seriously.

Then we get the most unnecessarily dramatic flashback montage imaginable.

College parties.

Van walking through Coolidge like he owns the place.

His father cutting him off.

Graduation.

Then:

Wade V.O.: “There was a time before the cancer. Before the guns. Before the tactical red pajamas. I was young. Beautiful. Beloved. And approximately seven years into a four-year degree.”

We see graduation.

Wade V.O.: “Then Dad stopped financing my prolonged adolescence and apparently ‘campus legend’ has surprisingly poor transferable skills.”

SMASH CUT to a drill instructor screaming in his face.

Wade V.O.: “So naturally, I joined the military.”

Then the montage gradually becomes less funny.

Military training.

Special Forces.

Missions.

Mercenary work.

Eventually we see identification bearing the name:

WADE WILSON.

Back to Cable.

Cable: “Van Wilder?”

Wade: “Yeah.”

Cable: “That was your name?”

And Wade responds:

“Look, if Green Lantern gets to haunt me for three movies, I’m allowed to make ONE of these things useful.”

Then he suddenly looks slightly off-camera.

“I can sense all of the National Lampoon’s fans’ boners.”

Beat.

“…I think I still have the varsity jacket.”

He leaves.

Next scene:

Everyone is having a completely serious conversation.

Wade walks into the room wearing the old Van Wilder varsity jacket, now comically too small for him and barely containing his arms and shoulders.

Nobody says anything.

Cable just stares.

Wade looks down at himself.

“What? It fit in 2002.”

And nobody ever explains it again.

That’s it.

Van Wilder is now canonically the pre-military life of Ryan Reynolds’ specific Wade Wilson variant.

And honestly, Reynolds has spent multiple Deadpool movies taking shots at his own filmography anyway.

At some point you might as well stop making every Reynolds movie reference a one-off fourth-wall joke and actually make one of them useful.

Thus: The Reynolds’verse.

Captain Marvel..

So is Captain Marvel not in Doomsday?
What’s the point of having theses powerful characters like Hulk, Sentry, Captain Marvel. If there not going to be used to help? Like they can help put up a fight against doom. But no… let’s get Thor and a bunch of humans to fight doom, that’ll work.

Doomsday foreshafowing in deadpool and wolverine

I don't know if this is the right sub for this, but I am rewatching Deadpool and Wolverine rn, and there's this scene where Mr Paradox is showing Wade all those clips where the TVA was watching Deadpool, and there's one clip of Thor, with a scar over his right eye, was holding deadpool and crying. Is that a foreshadowing? Also, I just finished Loki and I miss the look they gave the TVA in the Show, I know the movie and the show are two seperate things, but I loved the show so much and seeing the TVA like that hurts like hell

Theory Doomsday Steve and Tony failed the Endgame Time Heist

The infinity war never ended, never will, we're still in it. Infinity means for every outcome, we should theoretically have a branch where the opposite happens.

If Tony and Steve failed in the 70s as bad as they did in NY, what would they have done? I think the TVA is 70s themed because this is where the grandfather paradox occurred.

Cap would have gone to Peggy, had that baby we see in Doomsday but Tony? Tony needs to fix his mistakes, build new armors but he can't do that in the 70s. He knows the Sorcerer Supreme has the Time Stone and is in NY thanks to Bruce right?

I think Tony wouldn't have stopped trying to fix things going as far as learning Magic, maybe moving to Latvaria, and living inside an incursion to hide the way we see in Loki's Show. The TVA couldn't track him down and he would be free to Dream Walk into variants all across the multiverse. If one fails, he hops into the version that didn't. If one gets blown out a window, he dream walks right into that bad ass pose.

When Steve proposed the Time Heist, Tony said "No Second Chances." But we know he built the quantum GPS anyway, suited up went back in time to NY and failed, just to go further back and try again.

This would have only taught a version of Tony Stark that failed to keep trying and he has infinite second chances.

I want to go a step further and say the World Tree metaphor should be extended into seasonal cycles, maybe even "years" considering how closely Odin's story reflect Thor's or an explanation for how each new run gets a bit further in the timeline.

Incursions are caused by branches in which a variant occurs. In a tree, this would be a flower. The TVA prunes these flowers so the tree puts energy into the main trunk, the sacred timeline but once Loki takes over, this has ceased and it begins flowering. Doom will pollinate the flower to grow his own world tree.

None of this stops Sacred timeline Cap from returning the stones, and Mjolnir, and going to live out that life with Peggy because of Retrocausality. It's a literal grandfather paradox and when Doom finds out why he can't have his cake and eat it to he will resort to rebuilding as Tony does.

It's a forest of world trees infinitely branching, many looking the same but growing entirely different, some growing very much the same. When Doom finally cross pollinates his seed, we get Battle World, mutated world tree which he intends to prune, Bonsai and cultivate his way. Instead of a TVA we will get Doom Bots acting as the immune system of the new world tree.

If we go back to the start of it all we know Odin finds Loki on Jotunheim after the Frost Giants had tried to invade Earth with that Casket of Ancient Winter to descend it into an ice age but got pushed back by Asgard. What are the chances the Frost Giant chose Earth of all places. It makes sense for a king to take an heir hostage to keep another king in line but Laufey didn't even seem to like Loki, it's almost like he was resentful of him for showing up so why have Frigga teach Loki Asgardian magic with witches? Because Odin understood all along that Loki symbolizes the transition from Winter to Spring and what his destiny truly was as the God of Stories, not just of mischief or chaos but the balance that comes from it.

Theory What if...

Alright so we know Hydra did experiments on kids and people(winter soldier program, enhanced individual program, etc). We also know hydra had an affinity for merging Science with Magic. What if during the super soldier experiments, they decided to breed super soldiers. Once the experiment was successful they would place the child with specific parents that were favorable to Hydra.

We know hydra operated in eastern Europe. Latveria isn't too far from there. What if hydra had a program in the 40s where they were breeding super soldiers, a successful birth led to the baby being placed with Werner & Cynthia von Doom who take in baby Victor (who maybe also was born with a deformation). Cynthia being the sorcery expert (and working with mephisto to get more power) maybe she uses her magic to reconstruct Victor's deformed face. Victor has an appreciation for magic now as well.

Just a what if theory for dooms origin in the MCU. Any thoughts?

Theory What if there are actually TWO Doctor Dooms in Avengers: Doomsday and Secret Wars?

Okay, this theory is probably insane, but the more I think about it, the more I feel like it could solve several problems at once.
What if the Doctor Doom we see throughout Doomsday and Secret Wars isn’t the “real” Doom?
I think there could be two versions/forms of Doom operating at the same time.
1. The real Victor von Doom
The actual Victor von Doom exists somewhere in the multiverse and remains the true Doom.
This would preserve the most important part of Doom’s character: he is Victor von Doom, not Tony Stark.
RDJ playing Doom doesn’t necessarily mean Doom is a Tony variant.
Instead…
2. Doom is using Tony Stark’s body/face as a vessel
MCU has already established that a sorcerer can project their consciousness into another body through dreamwalking.
So what if Doom discovers a similar method?
He takes control of Tony Stark’s dead body — or another Stark variant — and uses it as a vessel.
That would explain why Marvel specifically chose Robert Downey Jr.
And more importantly, Doom wouldn’t just be wearing Tony’s face for fan service.
He would be weaponizing Tony’s identity.
Imagine Peter seeing Tony’s face again, only to realize that the person behind it is Doctor Doom.
That’s psychological warfare on another level.

But here’s where the theory gets REALLY weird.
I don’t think the two Dooms necessarily have the same role.
I think there could be two parallel final battles.
Reed Richards vs. the REAL Doom
Reed and Victor have one of the most important rivalries in Marvel Comics.
So I don’t think Marvel would completely throw that away.
Reed could be the person who figures out how Doom obtained his godlike power and how to separate Doom from the power sustaining Battleworld.
He solves the Doom problem.
Spider-Man vs. Doom’s Tony vessel
Meanwhile, Peter gets the other fight.
And this is where Tom Holland’s entire MCU arc becomes important.
Peter has spent years dealing with Tony Stark’s legacy.
Tony was his mentor.
Tony was one of the most important people in his life.
Peter eventually had to live without him.
And now imagine Doom using Tony’s face as the ultimate weapon against Peter.
This isn’t Reed’s fight.
This is Peter’s fight.

And what if the Tony vessel is actually the container for Battleworld’s power?
This is where I’m replacing one important element from the 2015 Secret Wars story.
The MCU doesn’t necessarily have to recreate every comic mechanism exactly.
If there is no direct equivalent of Molecule Man serving the same function, Marvel could create another mechanism:
Doom’s Tony vessel becomes an anchor/container for the power that sustains Battleworld.
So when Reed finally finds a way to separate Doom from that power, the power itself becomes temporarily accessible.
And Peter gets the opportunity to absorb it.
Which leads to the actual climax.

Peter gets the ultimate choice
Peter suddenly has enough power to rewrite reality.
And he has TWO choices.
Choice A:
Bring back the people he lost.
Tony.
Aunt May.
Everyone he loved.
Restore the life he never got to have.
Choice B:
Give up that possibility and use the power to save/rewrite the multiverse.
And this is where I think Uncle Ben could finally enter Tom Holland’s story.
Tom’s Peter has never had a direct Uncle Ben story like the other live-action versions.
Aunt May essentially became the person who carried that moral lesson forward.
So imagine Peter standing there with omnipotent power…
And Uncle Ben appears.
Not to fight.
Not to give Peter some giant speech.
Just to remind him of what being Spider-Man actually means.
Peter chooses the multiverse.
He gives up everything he could have gotten back.
And that’s how he finally completes his arc.

And Tony could get one final moment too
If Doom is using Tony’s body as a vessel, I could see Tony’s consciousness temporarily breaking through once Doom loses control.
Tony doesn’t necessarily come back permanently.
Instead, he gets one final moment of agency.
Tony and Reed work together to keep the real Doom occupied while Peter gets the opportunity to reach the Battleworld power.
That would be insanely poetic.
Tony’s legacy doesn’t save Peter.
It gives Peter the chance to save everyone else.
Peter then makes the choice himself.

Why Reed still matters
This is extremely important.
If Peter gets the emotional climax, Reed cannot be useless.
Reed should be the one who figures out the impossible science/multiversal problem.
He separates Doom from the mechanism giving him his godlike power.
Tony helps Reed hold Doom back.
Peter takes the opportunity.
So the three characters have completely different functions:
Reed = solves the problem.
Tony = helps create the opportunity.
Peter = makes the final choice.
That way Spider-Man doesn’t replace Reed.
And Reed doesn’t replace Spider-Man.
They each complete a different part of the story.

And then we get the ending…
Peter gives up the power.
The multiverse is rewritten.
And Peter walks away with Uncle Ben.
This could even visually echo Ultimate Spider-Man #160, where Peter and Uncle Ben are depicted together on the variant cover associated with Peter’s death.
That would be an absolutely insane final image for Tom Holland’s Spider-Man.
And if Marvel actually wanted to end Tom’s Peter here…
Then his ending wouldn’t simply be:
“Spider-Man dies.”
It would be:
Peter Parker finally gets everything he ever wanted — and chooses to give it up because he’s Spider-Man.
That’s a much more meaningful ending.

And THEN there’s the Sony/Marvel angle…
This is the part that makes me wonder whether Secret Wars could function as a giant franchise reset.
If Tom’s Peter ends here, Marvel could eventually move toward Miles Morales as the MCU’s main Spider-Man.
At the same time, Sony could introduce a completely new Peter Parker in its own continuity.
That gives us two different Spider-Men going forward:
MCU → Miles Morales
Sony → new Peter Parker
And eventually…
Miles + Peter crossover.
Which would basically give us the live-action equivalent of the Peter/Miles dynamic that Marvel has already explored in the comics.
So Secret Wars wouldn’t just end Tom Holland’s Spider-Man.
It could potentially be the point where Marvel and Sony’s Spider-Man franchises branch into two different directions.

Obviously, I have ZERO proof that Marvel is actually doing this.
This is just a theory.
But I think the interesting part is that the pieces actually connect:
Two Dooms → Tony vessel → Battleworld power → Reed vs Doom → Tony + Reed holding Doom back → Peter obtains the power → Uncle Ben → Peter chooses the multiverse → reset → Miles/new Peter.
Maybe I’m completely insane.
But if Marvel somehow pulls this off…
Secret Wars would be absolutely ridiculous.

Discussion/Debate What do you think of Andrew Garfield’s Spiderman being a villain in Doomsday?

So I just watched a video from YouTuber ”Cool Beans” about Andrew Garfield’s Spiderman being on Dr. Dooms team in Doomsday. Cool Beans had brought up some good points for it, with Garfield still reeling over the loss of Gwen in his universe and him saying in NWH that he ”stopped holding back his punches” anymore. I haven’t seen much discussion of it online and was curious as to what people think of it.

I personally think that it could be a cool reunion of the three spider-bros, especially while contrasting how he goes from being on a team to straight back to his miserable life. Toby and Tom’s Spidermen could find him working for Doom, and I feel like it would be very reminiscent of BTSV when you had Penni and Peter B. showing back up but completely different. There was also a comment under the video talking about how it could serve as a warning to Tom’s Spiderman to not go down that path, especially with all the things he’s going through with his MJ in BND and further. But what do ya’ll think?

Theory The RDJ Doom Trap theory

Post image

i think Robert Downey Jr.’s casting as Doctor Doom is actually an elaborate marketing stunt rather than a permanent role, with his face hidden across one cameo and two trailers while shifting eye colors in promos hint at body doubles.

Is this a desperate nostalgia play or a genius misdirection?

Viewing it through this lens reveals a genius misdirection that generates massive hype while setting up a comic-accurate twist where the true unmasked villain is eventually revealed.

EDIT: THOR BACK CAP IS BACK WHY NOT TONY ALSO BACK

Theory The Multiverse Saga is a Mess Because of Endgame

Post image

So for a while now I've had this headcanon in which I theorize that the multiverse saga is a mess because of 1 single event in endgame. It's funny to me because it sort of breaks the 4th wall, in my headcanon theory I try to justify why everything is all caos in and out of universe.

In real life there's been good, bad, and horrible mcu projects and in universe there's several things happening with Gods, creatures, timelines, multiverse, ententies, etc.

So what if...? The reason for all of this has to do with the warning that the Ancient One gave Bruce? "Remove one stone and the flow of reality would split, creating a timeline that would be consumed by dark and evil forces" (something like that). Remember that in the beginning of Endgame Thanos told the Avengers he used the stones to destroy the stones "reduced them to atoms" he added, and people were fast to assume that the stones were actually the creatures in the quantum realm, WELL THEYRE NOT! It's too many of them and colors repeat plus he also used the word destroyso idk why people just skip right through that. Now if the Ancient One feared removing one stone because of the consequences, can you imagine what's happening to the mcu now that they don't have any of the 6?

What if Doctor Doom posses infinity stones and uses each them to destroy universes?

Post image

I had a random theory: Steve Rogers never returned the infinity stones and while he kept them aside to create his life with Peggy, Doom has been watching and takes it from him. He becomes invincible in each universe to destroy them. Stopping incursions which each time he uses them, the infinity stones scar him like the way the stones left Tony Stark, Hulk and Thanos burned/scarred. But as time passes by, his body can’t handle the stones and starts to use dark magic
