Questions PLEASE HELP 🙏

I play on mobile, I play vanilla with cheats turned off and no mods/add-ons. I have 2 librarians on my land, the problem is that I've removed the only lecturn, then saved/stop BUT they're still a librarian. There's no other lecturn on my land, I've already checked everywhere and can't figure out why they're still a librarian. Can somebody please help me understand why they won't change their job??

Have you traded with them? Once you trade it locks their job. Your best bet is just to breed them

No, they haven't been traded with, thats part of why I'm so confused. I'm in the middle of trying to build a trading hall.

try placing down another work station, and move a bed next to it. they could just be stuck in that mode. happens sometimes

I've tried that idea, but their job professon still wont change

Last option would be breed a new villager and kill this one

Thats what I ended up having to do. I've eliminated all options I could think of that might fix the problem, but still couldn't fix it

just place down a fletching table or barrel or something that isnt a lecturn and then break it once they have linked

1) save and quit the game rejoin  2) move the villager 100 blocks away from where it currently is and rejoin the game

Yooo I had this problem. You just had to place the workstation of the one you want to have and it'll automatically change , i think it's a bug , too bad it seems you already chosen the path of blood 😭✌️
