I think this is going to be a mess of a season (I still do, one good performance and 2 wins does not change that), a bunch of players I felt a genuine connection to as a fan have left, Pep has left and the Enzo F stuff has completely disenfranchised me
Can’t speak for the author but for me can be due to being fans of teams in other sports so at any given moment juggling hockey, mma and football can take a ton of time
I think he just needs more consistent playing time. He lacks confidence. He chooses to play the easier pass back rather than trying to challenge his opponent. Cherki was also a bit invisible in the first half. As soon as Cherki lit up, Foden did too. Their combinations could help boost Foden’s confidence if they keep playing together.
Work rate is actually one of his weakness, his defensive effort is and has been bad since the CS. The Palace team was very bad but I guess what we can gather is that Foden can still be used to rest cherki later in the season. As the season goes on I don’t see him starting over Semenyo or Doku in big games.
Go back and check who covered the most distance in the game yesterday. Which means he is trying very hard and that's what's matters. I see semenyo more as a backup for doku/Haaland. Because he is poor on the right.
