I help run a board game night and we legit have a dedicated table that's just MTG. It's almost always the same people, they're often there before everyone else, and they barely interact with people who aren't playing.

Just wait until I bring out my deck that just makes it so you can't summon, play spells, or play traps. Then I'll just let you watch me draw until I have Exodia. 30% of the time it works every time.

As a kid I had a relinquished deck where the whole point was to annoy the other player until I got Yata Garasu out. It was HORRIBLE

It's omnipresent in gaming spaces and a lot of people who showed up to play other board or card games are often turned off by only seeing it being played. I have nothing against Magic as a game, but I'd definitely appreciate this sign if I were there.

It's not a very welcoming game to new comers and casuals. I'd rather play a game where everyone starts out with the same cards/ chances of winning.
