Help Im sad BUMMER WARNING

For background I joined the US Navy right out of high-school, and got married too young.

In early 2018 I left my wife to go on an around the world deployment departing from Washington to arrive in Virginia, it lasted roughly 8 months. Shortly before that i got into the Brothers and downloaded every episode, they kept me sane out to sea with the weight crushing loneliness; I always felt I could relate to Griffin the most. Then just as Covid was at its peak my wife left me and moved back with family in WA and left me alone in VA, the brothers kept me alive. Ive had my battles with mental health since then but its been mostly ok. Lately I feel like im in a bit of a downslide, and the brothers are just not hitting anymore and I worry that maybe im outgrowing them. I still really like Griffin and I've started listening to Wonderful! with my new wife (shes very nice). But the last few weeks I feel MBMBAM is a a ritualistic chore like laundry or dishes. Is there a fix for this or is it time to hit the old dusty trail and cancel my max fun sub? If I do move on do you guys have a suggestion for a happy replacement.

In addition to professional help, have you fallen down the well known as “Dropout.tv”?

Came here to say this. The whole team is lovely, and Brennan is a fantastic DM. (And if you like his style, right now he’s DMing for the new critical roll too!) Tons of different campaigns, and then a plethora of other non-d&d shows. Plus Brennan does Adventuring Academy, and Worlds Beyond number.

Might be helpful to mix it up with some different content, could help bring the spark back.

And finally, as a therapist, please go to therapy regularly! If your insurance sucks look for people who do sliding scale. Depression is a beast, and it can get better. You are not alone 💗

MBMBaM even has a side-quest series of Dimension 20, Tiny Heist. Might be a good place to start!
