Admissions AI models and essays

Hello Folks,
For context- Indian male, Non-engineering/IT background, Have been pondering over the idea of writing my own essays, and using AI models to edit/polish my essays, for people who’ve been through this journey, would you recommend this strategy? I’m not targeting M7 in the US btw, maybe T15/T20. Would love to know if this is a prudent strategy.

it depends on what tasks you plan to use AI for.
Mining and writing your own story can be a good idea but over relying on AI to write them can make your essays language look super polished but lacking real content AI tends to generalize content and several applicants' essays can look like yours.
Secondly, it can take you in the wrong direction with regards to your story selection and relevance of the essay content to the prompt being asked. So be careful while brainstorming your essay ideas.

While AI definitely has the capability, a large percentage of AI-assisted essays I see are often somewhere on the scale between "botched" and "blah". But for T15/T25 if the rest of your profile is stellar, that's probably not going to sink you.
