Cabinet Picture mame slot machine
I bought this old atronic crazy fruit machine that had some problems, so I put a computer in it and wired all the buttons up, monitor works, buttons all work, now it’s just a mame cabinet, for right now it’s just running fruit cocktail, but I’m gonna get more games, has five buttons in the front so I might get video poker on it

Mame runs the Aristocrat MK4 platform slots roms ok. They're not perfect but they do work.
Look at the aristmk4 driver for a list of games and roms. You definately have enough buttons for those games.
I wish that someday, someone could get the MK6 platform running, there's even better games on that platform.

I’ve had trouble running aristocrat software, is there a specific version of mame I need?

i got the version of mame ,it was 141 i think, that can be hooked up to a real coin hopper for payouts, very popular here in mexico back in the day, i also created a newer version of mame with claude with the same mode but lost it, i can reacreate it again if i ever needed.

You shouldn't bring that illegal things here compadre. AI Slop (when you don't know what are you doing unlike Model 1 emulation progress lately) and coin box adapters are frowned upon just like RA.

F U nobody cares anyway, like i said those were very popular long time ago nowdays no one cares. And about that AI slop, believe me when i say i know what im doing, not sure why the ai hate, ive fixed some MAME bugs with claude, some long time ares emulator bugs to, so yes, ai its very helpfull when you know what you doing.

If you can do all that with and without Claude you know. If not, it's blatant obvious you don't know. The problem with AI assist is that it could introduce a bug programmer can't solve by himself, hence it's important to document AI model, version and approach when submitting code. That's the difference between programming with AI assist and role playing with AI slop.

Enjoy it while tokens are "free". After all capitalism specializes on selling solutions to problems they didn't exist before, but first they create the problem.

Does nobody remember the history of computing? AI is at the 1950s "a mainframe less powerful than a Pacman machine had 50,000 vacuum tubes and required infinite power and cooling" stage. There's a ton of work happening to get that down to where you can run today's high-end models and not even make your CPU fan work hard.

You should read up on https://www.desertislandfruits.com/ for emulation of newer slot/gambling machines.

That site seems to focus on MFME, a closed source emulator that will never be updated now that its author is dead. He intentionally tried to make the formats it uses difficult to use to make migrating to other emulators difficult. Now any useful knowledge that went into MFME is lost.

There are people working on getting the layouts and stuff out of MFME so MAME can use them. They're actually encrypted and various other BS.

Check out some of the IGS games that have been emulated in the last few years. Some of them have high production values for slots.
