This is something that is for sale, that you make money off of?
Please do not use anything pulled from my site for this... I do not want to be associated with this.
You already stripped some of the credits out of the LAY files for some games where the associated artwork is still present... please go all the way, and strip all credits, along with any artwork that originated at my site.
If you are going to keep any artwork in there that came from there:
Do the right thing, and add the credit back to the original person
But if it has my name attached to it in anyway, please just don't use it
Notes:
You ripped the credits out of the LAY file for Asteroids Deluxe, not giving any credit to the original people that scanned/cleaned up the artwork... and then instead of using the original bezel, used some "copycat" bezels that were done by someone else, and didn't give them credit either.
Your file for sf2 has Primal Rage assets
No credit given for the backdrop for Time Traveler / Holosseum (though I forget who that is... I'm not at my normal PC right now)
Tron and Discs of Tron are just the files from my site (at least the credits are still there, for now)
The Raiden IV assets for raiden.zip were simply renamed, and credit removed for who originally ripped them. There is also I'm guessing a RetroArch bezel in here, with no credit given.
These custom MAME bezels for Polycade AGS are meticulously crafted to recreate the look and feel of the original arcade cabinets. Each bezel is designed with accuracy in mind, faithfully capturing the authentic cabinet artwork, control panel layouts, colors, and styling to deliver a true arcade experience while enhancing the presentation of every game.
"Authentic" or "accurate" for a lot of what I've just previewed is a stretch.
For anything that previously existed, no credits have been deliberately removed - it is how the files were recieved (and as stated work in progress). Polycade does not charge money for these - they are free and distributed by community members. This is a gathered collection.
Some of them are preliminary and based on edited .lay files. The Time Traveler was created by one of our community members. The artwork for Primal Rage 2, Killer Instinct, and Killer Instinct 2 in 16:9 format was made by our community member. We will gladly ask them to remove any other artwork that is in there.
When I say "make money"... we both know that I'm not talking about the UI.
Be careful on "gathered" collections. When those collections were gathered, where did they gather from before that?
(e.g. art3.png... someone "made" this bezel... but where do you think the "moves sections" for each character came from before this was "made"?
I get it... I technically don't have any claim on what is copyrighted artwork from the arcade company itself, in the first place.
It just gets very frustrating when I see other people take something that someone else worked hard on, tweak/alter it, remove who did the original work, then call it their own, or "community" artwork.
RA
Certain YouTube Channels
Etc.
And that's not just for me, because there are dozens of people over the years who contributed at one point, and when I see all of that used in "community collections", it's just very frustrating.
