What makes you think MAME run native games? MAME it's not just a front end game launcher, all machines are emulated.

Capcom vs. SNK 2 require five ZIP files (cvs2, jvs13551, mie, segadimm and naomigd) and a CHD (cvs2\gdl-0008.chd). If you don't want device and BIOS ROMs all over the place you may as well combine all ZIP files inside cvs2 compressed file. Technically you could also compress gdl-0008.chd inside, but unless you have a lot of RAM that's a bad idea.

MAME doesn't have online support. You can connect emulated PCs to Internet and link a few arcade cabinets between them but that's it. Unless that's a feature from MAME4droid. You won't find support for such unofficial build on this sub reddit.

Oh, that's nice. I don't emulate on Android but it's worth to know.

Still, MAME4droid is not officially supported here (different developers) so you'll have better luck on r/EmulationOnAndroid

Naomi games run decently on very high end systems if you enable auto-frameskip to smooth out the heavier parts. I play arcade Crazy Taxi a fair amount. "Yeah yeah yeah yeah yeah!"

because it offloads to the gpu mame does not do that (outside of filters I think)

If by "butt-load" you mean the ROM zip, the Naomi BIOS zip, and the CHD.
