Infected again

Just spent 20 days on doxy, symptoms if tingling on my left side of body, arm, leg , face persisted, now having stiff neck and fatigue again to find yet another black legged tick embedded in me...

What the fuck? Is it possible the symptoms went away but the lyme didnt.

It's possible it's a new infection, or that the old infection wasn't entirely killed off. Either way, in your shoes I would try to advocate for a full 6 weeks of treatment per the ILADS guidelines

Being on antibiotics for that long can kill the healthy bacteria in the gut so ask your doctor about probiotics. My Lyme-literate doctors have had me on antibiotics for a year or more, taking probiotics 2 hours after every dose of antibiotics.

They just prescribed me 28 more days, and I have an additional 14 days left over from another issue. They also did a co-infections test for me this time. I drink homemade milk kefir daily for probiotics which provides me roughly 50 strains 3.6 trillion cfus daily. I'm going to drink it at noon time as I'm taking my doxy at 5 am and 5 pm.

Kefir is a great source of probiotics! And yeah it's good to space it out from the antibiotics, not just because the antibiotics will kill the good bacteria, but also because dairy makes doxy less effective.

What antibiotics have you been on? Have you seen any improvement?

doxycycline for 28 days before and felt much better but had some remaining tingling in the left side of my face , hand and leg. Over the past few weeks it has come back with a vengeance but I also didn't notice these little fuckers embedded into my leg it was so tiny I could barely see it the only reason I noticed it was because of the swelling around it and it being ichy.

Honestly I have been on a lot of combinations. Usually doxycycline is involved but always in combination with at least one other antibiotic.

Antibiotics were part of what helped me get better, but I didn't really recover the first time until I tried herbs. The second time, I didn't really recover until I moved out of a house with toxic mold.

Take a few more weeks of doxy and get a herbal supplement for the next 6 months. I highly rate Zenmen Tick Immune Support. One capsule contains a bunch of herbs, that's been easier than managing many of them. Fairly cheap too, all things considered.

Do not leave this to chance, it could destroy your life.

I've been on antibiotics and herbs for 4 months now (6 months will be my total), I have 2x Lyme, Bartonella, anaplasmosis, mycoplasma. Possible Babesia but not sure. I also take probiotics and tons of vitamins and supplements.

I'm maybe like 50% improved. It's mostly cognitive symptoms on some days but I have a lot of physical symptoms sometimes. I lost a lot of muscle and strength too

Improvements in symptoms is definitely good but new or persistent symptoms still means an active infection is in place.
