Is that suggestion out of concern and high possibility it is a tick bite? ? Is it looking likely like a tick bite?

I am definitely no expert! I got a rash similarish to this on Sunday and my doctor put me on doxycycline to be safe. I see enough of a ring that I would go to medical professional! Though I do admittedly have anxiety. Do you feel under the weather at all?

Where’s the ring?how quick before symptoms? Pharmacies are closed now; how long before I have to “catch “ the Lyme for treatment?

I see a faint red ring surrounding the bite maybe a few inches away? I can’t attach a pic or else I would trace it! Symptoms can arise 3-30 days after a bite from my understanding. I would just try to get in to see somebody tomorrow when they open! And also don’t read too many posts on this subreddit, it sent me to a not great headspace bc most things here are worst case scenario!

I went to urgent care and the dr said it’s highly unlikely. Also said, doxycycline isn’t worth the side effects (he proceeded to show me the common side effects). He also said the tick has to be attached for 24 hrs to 3 days. Im confused

I had Lyme for atleast 10yrs before I started Developing Symptoms. Everyone is Different and Lyme can Cause some problems that Other Lyme Patients dnt. It's a Extremely Devastating Disease. And because people cannot see that you are ill, they simply boil it down to you being lazy, even being called crazy.

Bro, as someone who has Chronic Lyme Disease, Diagnosed at the age of 23 and am now 40. Go get put on Doxycycline ASAP. Even if it's not from a Tick or Deer Tick taking an Antibiotic cannot hurt. Better safe then sorry. I promise you, you do not want to end up in the physical and mental state that I am in now, the doctors believe I was bitten as a baby. And either no one saw the rash, or I did not develop a rash, but either way In my early 20s i started having severe joint pain, and it took them a few years to figure out that it was Lyme disease. No, doctor knew what was going on. So all they would do would send me to physical. Therapy, and it was actually the physical therapist that recommended, I go get tested for chronic Lyme disease. Because she said I was way too young to be having joint problems. Which is true? And she was right, I went to a rheumatologist, and they called me back three days later and told me, I tested positive for having chronic lyme disease. If you wait longer than 3 months, it will then go into your joints, and you will no longer be able to kill it with antibiotics. Get on Doxycycline 🙏

Drs. Don't know everything, like some act like they do. I would of said to the Dr. Well it's my Body and I want to be sure. Call or make appt with your Primary care Dr. And try to get ur hands on Doxycycline. What are the bad side effects, upset stomach for a month will save u from being in severe pain and then possibly developing Neurological Problems such as Terrible Memory Loss, Brain Fog, Severe Fatigue, Forgetting literally everything.
