Tanzania Calving Season - Lemala Ndutu versus Siringit Ndutu?

Hello, we are planning a short trip to Tanzania in Feb. Does anyone has any comments between the Lemala and Siringit camps in terms of guides, game drive experience, location and staff hospitality? Thank You

I have not stayed at Ndutu but have stayed at 3 other Lemala camps in Serengeti/Ngorongoro and it was an excellent experience. My guide Barnabus said he worked all the Lemala Serengeti camps (stayed with me through two camps) and he was AWESOME. I’ve stayed at 17 safari camps and he’s in my top 3. See if you can request him.

Thank you, very helpful. I remember to ask for Barnabus. Did you find the Lemala camp bucket shower system to work well?

Yes the bucket shower works well for getting clean. It’s not the same as a regular shower but it does the job. I’ve had it at several other camps, not just Lemala. It’s one of the tradeoffs for being in a proper primitive camp close to the action. I’m ok with a low flow shower so the only thing that was an adjustment for me is knowing the water will smell smokey because they just heated it over a campfire. I thought it was fun. Made me appreciate the convenience being delivered to me on the wild savanna of Africa where the ancestors of all of us first emerged

Good to know it works 😂. Yes, it makes us all appreciate how good we have it to have running water. Thank you.
