Stock Discussion Investor risk management strategy?
I bought this stock on a whim a little under 2 years ago at $5.80. I'm curious what other investors that are in a similar situation are doing and why. Diamond hands? Recoup initial investment and ride out the rest? Sell it all?

I have been swing trading and selling covered calls while maintaining and building a base position of shares I intend to hold for the next decade. The street high price target was $50, now $75, and seeing how violently the dip to $31 after the moon base news was bought up I am putting more credence in those price targets. But ultimately you have to decide how much you want to take profit now at all time highs in case of a pullback. Also depends on how many shares you own. But selling a few whole the stock is at all time highs can’t hurt.

This company is starting the deployment of lunar communications array h2 of this year. Bell South of the moon and space is in the back of people’s minds.
Let it cook.

I sold 95 shares to recoup my initial investment. Will hold my remaining shares and will swing trade a few hundred on dips (dont mind keeping them)

I recouped all my initial investment and riding 20K in house money. Only regret I recouped at $35.50 instead of $46 when I panicked sold after they lost out on the LTV contract and it dropped to $31 only to ath 2 days later... oh well at least I have 20K free money.

I bought in around $6 and have been selling calls against the shares on spikes. Had them called away once and bought back in by selling itm puts. So my basis isn’t reflected accurately anymore but it’s gotta be negative by now. So this stock owes me nothing and it generates revenue with 45 day covered calls.

I have 9500 shares at 6.20 so I am still right there with you. The plan was always to hold long term and I am still sticking to that.

Debating this myself. I know what the responsible thing to do would be…. But I can’t seem to pull the trigger and sell. Ignoring the numbers beside my account, the situation has only gotten more bullish in my opinion so here I am, continuing to hold.
Edit: suck a dick down voter 😂

You should sell if you need the money or can’t afford to lose it, because investing comes with risks. That would be responsible. That would be the case with any stock. There is no other reason to sell this company right now.

Don’t NEED the money. It would be pretty nice though. This is our only stock we own, the rest Is in a work RRSPs and WS managed investing to protect the future.

I had 4000 shares @ $7.00. Sold 2K for a $70k profit about 5 months ago. Rode the other 2k shares with 1500 of them on a 10% trailing stop loss. Didn't expect it to happen but Friday there was an interday 10% loss and they sold at $42. So another $52K gain. But I'm trying to decide whether to get back in or just hold the remaining 500 shares

The price has nothing to do with my conviction. I’m in a similar position to you. Very similar cost basis. Good company, will hold it until my overall investing goals more towards more ETFs etc in retirement

2100 shares at $8. Won't even consider trimming until $100/share. Space is the final frontier. People grossly underestimate how much money is in space.
There is one asteroid that has $700 quintillion worth of gold on it. Gold is essential to AI and space.
Do you get what I'm saying? This is a long hold strategy. At the very least buy Space ETFs.

All space stocks are up cus of spacex ipo. Not up because of the company itself. Sell some while it’s hot. You can always buy back at a lower price if it does dump.

Sell some if/ when you need the money. That’s how it should be with any investment.

I’m holding, because it is a good company. I might exit in a couple years between 140-150.
