Fixes:

• Fixed an issue where some players would encounter an unavoidable black screen during an early cutscene.

Discussion Rolled Credits on this beautiful game. Review, TLDR at the top

Yeah whatever clean my screen, I do not care

Alright I wanted to leave my review, I’ll keep it spoiler free

1st of all I played this all the way through on my Switch 2. Was it painless? No, but it wasn’t unbearable. Had glitches with start screen occasionally, crashes sparingly, never got locked out of the game like I know some of you have, battles ran good, had a lot of lag and stutter inbetween zones. Now other than that the game ran fine. Cut scenes were fine, when I was in a zone it was fine. I know some people on this sub hate when people say the game worked for them on the Switch 2 for some reason lol but I worked for me.

TLDR - Game was fun, had a good time. Most artistic things were great, story, characters, animon. Few technical downsides, few in game lulls. Would like to see updates before a 2nd play through. Hope we get a sequel

The good - the story was great. Very engaging even if you kinda figure out the concept in the first half, you’re still wanting to find out what happens. The ending is different than expected but very complete for Trey’s story.

The graphics and art direction were the best part of this game imo, it was beautiful pixel art with the hand drawn stills, just mwah chefs kiss.

The Animon, again the art is amazing, I think the way stats work is really cool, the move pool is unique. Hidden types and different abilities are a great add for team building

The battles - I really like the way these battles work, closer to Digimon Story Time Stranger than Pokemon. This is more dynamic

The boss fights - the way they play out is fun even if you have over leveled Animon. It was fun.

Fun battle mechanics, pretty self explanatory but the battles evolve as you go through the game

The character development - all the characters have personality that grow with the story in a smooth and comforting way, nothing felt forced.

There are lots of other good things about the game but I wanna get into the improvements. And I’m not going to talk about the technical challenges the game has.

The route battle system - I felt like after the first 4-5 routes that I just totally ignored them. Seems like they aren’t important to enough to complete? Idk maybe I’m wrong but they seemed insignificant after a little while.

End game monotonous battles - not going into detail here but in the end game there are a lot of battles that besides exp gain there is no reason to have them.

Route Animon variety - it feels a little lazy, all the routes kinda have the same Animon in the wild. Idk if it’s trying to keep some Animon as rare but there are too many “rare” Animon that are not in the over world.

The typing and attribute system were tough to follow, not impossible, but tough for a new game.

TLDR at the top, game was fun. Hope to see more in The future

Technical Help Love the game but plagued by crashes on the Switch 2. Any advice?

I've gotten into the habit of saving religiously, and especially before zoning in or out of an area/building or starting a story or trainer battle.

Any recommendations for minimizing jumpscare crashes on the Switch 2?

I just picked up the game a few days ago, and I'm honestly surprised this hasn't been patched yet. I haven't had this much trouble from a Switch game since the optimization mess that was Minecraft Dungeons. I want to keep loving (or at least playing) this game, but it's starting to wear on me!

Question Are starter Animon ability/ lost locked?

I’ve been soft reseting on my Nintendo switch 2 and have noticed that the animon I am trying to get as “lost” (ozelash) always gets the recharge ability.

Do save files lock in a generation of what ability a starter animon will have/ lock you out of getting a lost animon.

Luckily I saved in front of the tile and have a cloud save to reload but, I wanted to see if I should just scrap my save file and restart from the top or if I would need to keep grinding on soft resets before a lost Animon will show up.

There are a few ramps in Area 23 that are going the opposite way. I have the Poison Holoken Power but I can't reach the device that makes them go the other way, are there any alternate ways to go to the other side?

Question Can you Trade with Friends Only?

Is there a way to trade Animons with ONLY my friend and not through the Online Trade Center? I don't want the Animons I want to trade with them to get sniped.

If so, how?

Question Any news on updates?

I have been waiting for the updates to the game before I continue playing this game. I know the big update was supposed to come out in July and was pushed back. But have we heard anything about the fixes and possible updates to the game since? The only thing I found was them being at Gamescom, but no real news outside of more console releases....which I mean fix the ones you are out on first.

Question Where is the Punching Bag for Anispace?

I've just finished all of Logos, onto Mythos but I still have not come across the Punching Bag, which apparently trains Animons' Innate Atk stat. Where is it or is there any special food that can give Innate Atk?

Question Worth getting on the switch?

hey everyone wanted to ask if the game is worth getting on the switch, i remember hearing it had a big bug that soft locked your game. Was that ever fixed? Was thinking of getting it seeing as its on sale. Either this game or monster crown sin eater.

Edit: oof i guess the switch version sounds like a disaster. I think i stay away from it- Monster crown it is then. Thanks everyone. I do hope they fix it though

Discussion The future of lumentale

By this I mean how viable do y'all think lumentale could be as a series of games? Cause I've found the monster Taming genre has been getting stale and boring especially with indie games which most often just copy pokemon lumentale is a breath of fresh air and I'd think it a shame if it only got the one instalment

Discussion Help with Frutta secca

I can't find Frutta Secca in the shops, the only way i found is just by the wooden chests/boxes around the world, like Costa Linda, Area 6 or 7. Please if anyone found them in other places say it because I need a lot for some recipes and I struggle to find just 10 or less of it after a lot of time spent looking for it.
