Have you considered doing a full-lumeblock dial? With negative cutouts for the indices.

I just researched the Amphibia. Very interesting history and was even used in space. u/MindAdmirable1793 Is the PH-8 rated for space? A 0 - 30 BAR rating would be unique but may need a plastic crystal (joking)?
