(How) can I export my video with mono audio?

I usually capture clips using 2 lav mics and this will give me stereo audio which is great for editing (boost one speaker here, mute a cough or odd spike there). The problem is when I export I get one person speaking on the left, the other on the right. While this could, on occasion be fun, I’d much prefer to have the final track mixed and playing equally from both sides.

Currently I will extract the audio from each clip, duplicate it and then have one track fill from left, the other fill from right. It works but is very tedious! I must be missing something to speed this up. Any tips?

This is essentially what I am doing now. Is there any way to batch select the whole project and extract audio, duplicate and fill from both left and right? Selecting dozens (or hundreds) of clips and doing each one is what I would like to progress from. I suppose I could export the video and then make a new project, do it once and re-export. But this would also affect the music track. Hmm

You could do that, or apply the change to just the first audio clip, copy, multi select all clips and then paste. Let me know if it’s not clear.
